Finaly converted my Parents to the right side!...so they go buy a way nice car than mine to show me up haha the E39 528i looks so plain jane now! 2000 325i 29000kms Tints 18" genuine BBS rims Full kit Aftermarket exhaust Sport seats Carbon Cold Air intake Tein Electronicly controlled damper suspension, with in cab adjuster. The car handles AMAZINGLY with the Tein suspension in it. WOW, F*ckin' Gangsta hahaha

Good fluid, Braided lines, quality discs and pads should be fine shouldn't it? JiB has upgraded his Brakes, read his build thread, hes using Nissan skyline Gts-T 4pot front calipers and E46 rear calipers i think, don't know what sort of/diameter discs

92 E36 320i - 300,000kms +? (it's had a speedo swap as old MILES unit stopped working and now has KM unit, so its a rough figure, definitly 300 000 though, wee bit more possibly, original 1992 factory clutch still not slipping) 86 E30 325i - 200 000Miles - Runs fine 99 E39 528i - 176 000kms - Runs mint

It crossed my mind! but the car was ment to be serviced 1200kms ago, so needed to be done asap. My Aunite had said he's abit rude etc and shes used him for awhile so I took a chance. ended up getting it back 40mins later so yeah, sh*t happens

I'd be all over this if my E39 had sold, but im keeping it awhile longer now

just a word of warning for the CHCH guys looking for a indepedant specialist This place B.M.W Service Centre - 45 Brisbane ST, Waltham, has the WORST customer service ever I orginised to get my car, 1999 E39 528i, serviced there for its warranty service, got there this morning, went in, and no joke 40 seconds later the convo went Mechanic- "know much about these cars?" Me- " nah not too much" Mechanic- " yeah they're peices of sh*t" < No lies, exact words Thats ok, not too happy but a family member reccommended him and said he was abit rough and brash, i thought sweet thats ok, his opinion Get inside and ask what grade oil he uses Mechanic- "any oil" (thinking hes a know it all C*NT by now) Me- "could you use 10w40 please?" Mechanic- "Nah, any oil will be fine" Me- "well my E30 and E36 at home run on it so if you could use it it'd be good, if it ever needs topping up i'll have oil to do it with" Mechanic avoids it and asks me to fill out a form Then on the way home i think sh*t i better check the RUDE bugger is going to put 10w40 and my fone was low on battery so I sent a text to the old lady to ring him and check She got the whole its a peice of sh*t story and i've been dealing with BMWs for 25 years She asks why? Mechanic: "oh the milage its gonna cost your son heaps to fix in the future" Mum: "whys it going to cost heaps what exactly is going to go wrong?" Mechanic: "It's the milage and they're sh*t cars i've been doing this for 25 years" (cant state anything just keeps saying they're sh*t cars) got all that bullshit out of the way and he said "Right i'll do 10w40 but the price goes up $20". so thats fine. Then he decided "Nah, come pick the car up, I dont wanna service it, it's going to be too hard, too much work" Im back at mums work by now and I said fine, would rather burn my money than give it to this useless tit. Get there and hes still going on how the milage is a problem and E39's are sh*t, at this stage im getting pissed so I walk upto him and say "what exactly is going to go wrong in your eyes then?" get the "sh*t car, 25 years" crap again, I give up. Then hes says you's seem like the sort that will bring the car back if theres a problem and blame it on me etc I said "well yeah I would have if you put the wrong oil in. but otherwise we would have rung and sorted it out. why else do I pay people. If you do the work it's your responsability if something goes wrong because of it. If the Aircon stops working im not gonna blame you am I? because you havnt worked on it!, but if the engine starts leaking oil at the filter or sump plug the day after its serviced you'd bring it back because thats where you've worked, im not unreasonable!" after this I walk out and take my car, because the guy has no people skills obviously, and its just not worth the bullshite I then went to "Elite Auto electronics" 451 St Asaph Street, as Kevin Burt couldn't fit me in and his prices were extreme and I need the car serviced this week I had the car scanned there awhile back as the airbag light was on so knew they were alright!, and the guys attitude was just amazing, easy to deal with, nothing was a problem, fitted me in today even! I used to take my E36 there also, He is a warranty approved servicer and I highly reccommend him from the previous little jobs he's done for me and i'm SURE the service will be excellent today also. We NEED a Botany Motor Works / Glenn down here! if you ever decide to expand Glenn ring me! haha id love to help with getting a reputable BMW specialist with good customer service down here! until then i'll keep using Elite Auto electronics! End Rant.

that guy will just keep reporting your listing so report his, or request a email detailing why your listing gets pulled and his doesn't, send them the link of this guys ad with your email.

It's probably similar to what you do with the E36 unit isin't it.. same units just different shape and dimentions i'd imagine, Have a think about it, (I dont get paid for 2 weeks ..damn fortnightly pay haha) and if you can find some info and decide you want to get a 5 series under your belt let me know. Not a problem at all if you can't/don't want to mate! Just thought i'd ask as I would rather look after someone in the bimmersport community than a random so i'll get it fixed or buy a replacement off one of the guys

My Climate Control display in the 528i is missing the bottom 3 or 4 rows of pixels, Do you reckon you could fix that Jase? how much would it cost approx?

Depends if you know how to do it or are going to learn as you go. If you have a welder or access to one etc, are you good with wiring or have a friend that is etc? how longs a peice of string basicly?, Theres a E30 CA18DET owner on here but he brought it already done, the guy that built it is in CHCH.. CA's go hard and arent hugely expensive so its a good choice. Im sure someone else will pop up with some more useful information. the above is just what I tell myself when I get clever ideas haha Basicly it's time, money and space you need to think about

tell her to harden up. my sister doesnt have a choice lol shes learning in my old manual E36 and thats it. end of. it's a handy thing to know how to drive manual trans! Anyway back on topic, have you asked car yards about trade-in specials?? they're often keen to shift a trade in fast if its a cheap car

you can get it cert'd to be legal though cant you Glenn? that was always my impression.. so may aswell ask someone in the know

If the fuse keeps blowing i'd assume somethings shorting... Not much help, just check all the wiring still has its insulation around it, look for discoloured brittle insulation and if you find some make sure you heat shrink or if you don't want to cut the wire, insulation tape/electrical tape will work fine.. "Scotch Super 33+" is excellent tape, line mechanics use it on all LV and HV stuff and it stays in place through all weather
