CA18DET's go alright, my mate has a 180sx that will go thru 3rd doing a burnout, plenty of grunt! probably was a cheap enbgine to get ahold of etc when he decided to do a conversion. i reckon it'd be abit of fun, wee bit different aswell!

Get a 528i...like mine shameless plug: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=243774089 (have better photos just need to upload them) lol Anyway it costs me 15buks a week more to run than my old E36 320i and I used to do 400-500km a week of open road and town driving so for a bigger car and a bigger motor its pretty darn good in my eyes, they ride amazingly, took mine from CHCH to Queenstown afew months ago and it was amazing, don't think i'd want to do the trip in a jappa again, it just handled amazingly on the open road. People that have owned a E39 longer than me will be more use to you than I am, but none the less its an opinion, Don't think i'd wanna go much smaller than the 2.8 power wise to be honest... though it doesnt seem to bother some people, A 540i has to be where its at... Best bet is to test drive afew to get an idea of how they go and feel, and how the different engines respond OT but would love Ray/HELLBM's 540ise for sale at the moment E34 FTW

LHS/passenger side sits higher on my E30 aswell, pretty sure my E36 has its gangsta lean going on aswell... damned if i know...maybe so they sit even on the roads gradient?

for what it's worth, if anything at this later stage, My old man works at Wilson Brothers on Annex Road, and they deal in bearings primarily and engineering supplies, so if you need anything else bearing wise PM me and i'll chuck you his details, He's on the engineering supplies side BUT im sure he will have someone there who could help out

Both my E30 325i (brand new suspension) and my E36 320i (old tired suspension) Lean to one side, so the slight lean sounds normal to me

My mothers quickly falling in love with it though , now shes trying to sell her car to buy mine, which suits me, as theres been no interest other than "does it have leather seats". reguardless i'd like it fixed, it annoys me, and if I were buying a car it'd put me off Can't remember if it wobbles at 70-80km/h Mike, but I notice alot when braking from 100km/h all the time, if you slam the brakes it's not there, but put them on gently it shakes, so i strongly thought it was the discs, but sounds like it could be afew other things ASWELL, glad i aksed on here now! Evo RS are awesome ... just say yes lol , I drove a Evo 6 RS last year with front and rear braces and some suspension work etc (previous Jap owner had spent alot of coin id say) and I've wanted one ever since, power was just amazing and it handled amazingly with even me driving (useless) haha, and atleast with RS's you dont have to worry about "AYC" Diffs, you get the proper good old LSD
