Cars have been hooning summit road/port hills for years, my Dad used to do it 35odd years ago, not saying it IS or ISISNT acceptable, it wont change any time soon though i'd say, people go up there for a good "drive", and always have done Everyone does this sort of thing on the road at one time or another through the years...racing around, doing skids etc...its all a danger on the road yet alot of people on here do it also

Hi, got me a new bmw, E39 528i, brought it with a slight shudder/miss under 3k while cold, this went away straight after test driving and the salesman at the yard said bring it back if it starts it again, plus i have a 1yr warranty so i was happy with that, it'll get fixed one way or another Car had been groomed and engine bay steam cleaned so assumed it was just water somewhere it shouldn't be, but it has since come back and is still there when its warmed up, it lacks power when its doing this, BUT usually goes away (even when cold) if i turn it off and on again though Any suggestions as to what it is? so i can tell them when it goes back in tomorrow because no doubt they'll send it to just a normal mechanic instead of a specialist, so if i can give some suggestions as to what i could be i might be able to get it back quicker which is ideal lol Cheers, Andrew

So after finally letting go fo my E36...sort of... i replaced it with a 5 series, and i can understand why people like them, this is SO much nicer crusing in and out of Rolleston in! smooth and quiet pretty well optioned...a million airbags, TV, tiptronic, sensor wipers, M steering wheel, electric seats etc, the usual i'd say although i dont know why BMW decided to use gray as an interior colour!..was gay in my 3 series and no doubt it'll be gay and dirty in this 5 series tinted windows will hide it one day wheels are curbed and paints starting to flake off but eventually i'll try get some nice 18" BBS's Tiptronic is awesome...still havn't got over the novelty haha afew more days and i'll be sorted, want to get the TV working in motion and hook up an ipod or something so will look into that for music and movies...i hate CD's lol ANY info on this would be appreciated, just reply here or PM My E36 is still floating around....my sister has a bitchin' first car damn it beats the mirage i had lol And My E30 is going slow...rusty nuts are gay (no offence to gingers ment) Anyway, Pics Cheers, Andrew

I have someone looking at my E36 320i SE currently so if it sells i'd like to get a newer nicer condition E36 coupe, I have started looking on Trademe but am asking here also for any members thinking about selling, or someone who knows someone selling etc, limit of $8000.00 max -Coupe' -Reasonable Km's (want under 200kms, will look at higher kms with proof of it being well maintaned and price) -Motorsport spec preferably, kit, seats etc -Good interior/headliner/door cards etc -Good condition paint and panel -Nice wheels or suspension upgrades would be a bonus as always when looking for cars -Reg & WoF -Needs to be reliable as it will be my daily - Blah Blah Blah most people will get the idea, just want a nice cruiser with abit of up and go for the open road Stereo's not a problem for me i have a set up sitting in my wardrobe, but if its in there, its in there Have only just started looking so don't have the best idea of price or current examples on the market so being nosey atm, Located in CHCH, but would look at one further afield if the right car came along Cheers, Andrew
