E39 brakes, steering wobble - warped rotors?
oscar90 replied to oscar90's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
yeah I thought it could be steering straight off! interesting to hear about the huge difference after changing the UJ though! but only happens when braking which pretty much lead me straight to warped rotors, just want to double check with other people, and get other suggestions like you've given cheers! -
E39 brakes, steering wobble - warped rotors?
oscar90 posted a topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
as title says my steering wheel wobbles at higher speeds usually when braking gently, this would be warped discs/rotors as far as i know?? any other possible problem? "check brake lining" fault is on aswell if that helps, although im sure this is brake shoes/pads haha i may aswell mention it juuust incase its helps Cheers Andrew -

i'd have to agree with whats been said basicly and im 19 on Monday so im not someone whos had afew years to go over their mistakes, IMO if you want a gap year do it, don't let anyone force you into something your not sure off, study or job wise, spent all this year in an apprenticeship I didn't like in the end, and it cost me money to leave due to a wonderful piece of paper with "contract" written all over it LOL, and it will no doubt look as if I dont finish things on my CV unfortunetly, but I didnt like it at all, im young enough to try again, i got some experience in the workfore, found out more of what i didnt want to get into, so i got something out of it really, So I am going into ICT/electical or something similar, still unsure which sucks, as its one of the few things I did well at in school, just so i can get a Qualification and work somewhere I will partcially enjoy, i think its normal for most not to know what you want to do, as shown by many replies here!, so you may aswell do something you enjoy a little and get qualified while you try to find what your after 7th form FTW , it was awesome, i'd do it again in a heart beat! like many have said its different from 6th form

So my 86 325i is actually progressing toward a standard of being able to go for its re registration test soon (money pending haha damn christmas), so just after a heads up , whats commonly picked on or required?? it has the "easier" of the two test apparently because its been registered in NZ previously before a certain year so somethings may differ compared to a full blowen compliance test but you never know i suppose every inspector is different Cheers Andrew

Theres some amazing offers on the table here, as said above! take them up!, you get your car going, and worst case you have a few 'IOU's' to repay maybe, projects piss most people off, its the nature of them. It WILL be worth it when it's all going and legal and you can drive it. just another opinion

rear springs are easy as said above afew times, just DIY, you and a mate should be able to look at it and figure it out easy. if you can change a wheel you can change a rear spring in a E30 pretty much haha sort of on topic also and may be of use to OP For any CHCH guys wanting spring compressors i have some, people are more than welcome to use, just basic attach a ratchet and crank them sort, better than buying some if your never gonna use them again, also have some drive on "servicing ramps" if they're wanted, jack and axel stands aswell too depending if theyre in use or not lol
