    e9x m3

I wouldnt want a car slower than a Mitsi Colt turbo around the 5th gear test track
  2. Octane booster is a total waste of money. When they say "boosts octane by 5 points!" it means your 95 octane fuel now becomes 95.5 The tiny amount of toluene in these octane boosters does sweet f all, you need a whole lot more than they provide in the tiny bottles.
  3. Quoted for truth. Hence why I work on my own cars than pay some monkey who doesn't care.
  4. Tui Ad right there. $85k on a rotor.... Sounds like da bros at the drags down this way '$10k on my rb20 cuz, runs 14s'
  5. No I dont think so, not with 189k. The silver nz new e36 m3 that went at Dunedins Armstrong Prestige for $19,900 was well priced. I missed out on that one
  6. The yanks use a different octane rating. We use RON, there is another used somewhere else in the world called MON. The yanks use an average of both R+M/2. The 93 they use is similar to our 98, their 91 is better than our 95.
  7. I don't think I'd drive a Z3 or even Z4 fullstop. They are the pink shirts of the car world.

    Alfa 8C

Compared to pretty much any post '80s BMW it has pretty radical styling. When you buy an Alfa, its a purchase of the heart rather than the head. Sure its gonna break down, then fall to pieces and cost you both arms and maybe your leg to keep running, but my god the sound, the drive, the feeling it gives you when you drive it and the looks... You have to have owned one to appreciate them. My dream would be an M3 that looks like an Alfa 159.

    Alfa 8C

yum yum Once you have owned an alfa you have a different perspective of things, you put up with the mind of their own electrics and dodgy build quality.
  10. I've been checking the Te Papa website quite a bit, but theres been nothing on their about the BMW car art display that is supposed to be on display sometime around now? Has it been and gone or something?
  11. Freightlines will pick up from where you are if you put them on a pallet. Mainfreight do cash depot to depot deliveries. I sent a set of 17" Enkei RPF1's with tyres CHCH -> Napier earlier this year, took them to work, chucked them on a scrap pallet and wrapped them up with stretch wrap and plenty of protective cardboard (old flat apple boxes) Cost the buyer $120+gst through Freightlines.

    PINK MY RIDE

How many times did you get a smack in the head for that. Nothing worse than a typical disrespectful monkey mechanic.
  13. My flatmate recently picked up one of the last e30s (a 1991 model) 320i. Full black leather interior, around 120kms, immaculate condition, auto from a dealer for your start price.
  14. Any idea of the exact dates when its in NZ? Welly etc?
  15. LOL the only way a car dealer would give someone $15k for a non m3 e30 would be if they were trading it on a $100k + car haha
  16. I was trendy at high school. I wore the maroon Barkers trackies and the ever popular aertex shirts with the collar up
  17. Hahahhaa Kathmandu jacket, thats what I was thinking. Every fashion victim has one LOL
  18. Sexiest e39 on TM. Too bad its not a 540i
  19. Hey I'm looking at buying an e36 m3 soon. Looking at two particular cars, one is a ex SA 106km car with reasonable service history for around $25k, the other is a NZ New with full dealer service history but its done 150km, its also around $25k. Is there any difference between motors? I heard the later 3.2 litre SA cars were detuned thanks to the crappy gas in SA? Is that the same for the 3.0 cars? Any other major differences between SA and NZ models? cheers Al
