  1. That's a bit a of a bugger he selling that car. Mike would gain the Bimmers stacks of club points at the Intermarque. Goes very well. Ohh and he's a nice Guy.
  2. Yeah I thought the whole kit should be plastic. but the fit and the fiberglass with the logo in it is to good to be a knock off. This a pic of the molded in logo on the rear kit. Looks genuine? Maybe they did a cheaper Fiberglass kit at sometime?
  3. Not a problem. I'll just have to remember to hide all the top secret E30 devolpment going on at the moment
  4. Don't know about pre f/l aren't the wheel arches different? Sorry didn't get any pics of the car, was a bit of mess.
  5. Thanks for that. Might have to raise my reserve
  6. Sorry, Facelift. Was a nice fit must have been on the car since new.
  7. Side skirts and rear apron off Jap spec 318 I'm pulling apart They appear to be genuine Schnitzer Items In reasonable nick for age. Whats it worth? TM Link
  8. Hay Cam I have a short block down here. The cost of freight would be more than what I want for it! Paul. 021 668 169
  9. Yhea bit sad wanting to buy a car your Mum had when your a kid but by that time I was already firmly into Bimmers having a 2002. That car is why I race a E30 series car now. From memory the car was close to $100k new then, so prices for new top spec 3 series haven't changed to much. I only managed to spin it once. After a 360 came to rest up somebody's driveway at 60kph didn't do any damage Evil car in the wet with worn bridgestone RE71!
  10. Because an M325i is a car I've always wanted to own myself. My Mum had a new one back in 88. Mate, it was a cool car Diamond Schwartz, Sunroof, Sony tape deck, Aircon, First car I'd driven that had ABS and an LSD truly a great car. Sadly that car is gone according to carfax so I can't buy that one... I also think they are going to be a very strong future classic. I know 2 older gentlemen down here in Wellington who have added f/l M325's to there collections and are spending large money getting them back to new condition.
  11. Gee we could fix all the country's Ill's if we could just get rid of those dam imports! A little reported fact for the last couple of years NZ total vehicle fleet has been getting smaller. This will speed up with the rising cost of fuel pretty soon you will have your Utopian world where only the rich can drive cars. This year over 100,000 vehicles will de-registered NZ And no I don't sell or Import cars
  12. Have a Happy Birthday you old Fart. May your Birthday wish come ture (20hp more for your 318). See Ya tomorrow for a quite one. Paul.
  13. I remember complying that car in the mid 90's. It came in from South Africa I remember the discussion about it's country of origin. It was CKD put together in the SA plant. Bet you didn't known they assembled M cars out of Germany! Good Memory Huhh
  14. Was going through 2002 stuff the other day and found one of these, Had one on a 2002 with a 50mm Webber (a bit big, 45mm would be best) about 10 years ago. Went REAL Good. Great replacement for the stink down draft carby on M10 engined 318s, 320s 2002s etc. Very rare In NZ, been out of production for a long time. Offered to Bimmersport first then will probably list on eBay in the states where these have a huge following. $350.00 ono Ta. Paul 021 668 169

    M42 into 2002

Yes I like Ian's work but that motor is my main motivation for going M42. That motor owes the owner more than the cost of my entire E30 series car!!!

    M42 into 2002

I agree with what your saying Cam but. Over the years I've had a few M10's built up from Std to Wild 304deg race and one thing they all have had in common was they all cost a lot of money. For less than 1k I got M42 complete with loom and gearbox, that wasn't even the cost of the pistons for my last 02 engine. So For my last remaining 02 I've decided to go for reliable Twincam power. With not a lot of work a M42 will have a more power and reliability than a mild M10.

Thanks Guys. Yes the less said about that birthday the better. But your only as old as you act so I must be about 8 Although I felt pretty darn old when I came in from that first race on Saturday! Thanks to every body involved in getting my car straight on Saturday night I think just about every driver and supporter either pitched in or offered advice. We even had Colin B. on his back trying to get the bumber to fit again. I Know the series has it is issues through the season but for every one to pitch in and get that car back on the track was simply amazing. I think we've got something special with this series lets try and keep it that way!!!!! Special thanks have to go to the Sliver Fox who wouldn't let me put it on a trailer. He told me about 50 times "you've come to far to go home tonight". Thanks Dave Also thanks to; Alister who's truck we used I hope it's the same (I still owe you a load binder) Ken H. Who now own the worlds longest wheelbase Pajero. Mate I owe you some more beers Gee I did have a good Birthday after all. Ta Paul.
  21. I'll sell ya mine 20K, could be the quickest car out there next season with proposed changes to the 318's and I live in the lower north island. Paul. 021 668 169
  22. 1:15 isn't overly fast. But what I'm trying to say is for most applications the std E30 brakes are well up to the task. Us slow E30 class guys have 2 stops from 180+ at Puke, the one at the hairpin we're not hitting the picks till the 50m board! For your car however being a proper race car I would be getting the biggest and best brakes you can afford. Having brakes at the end of a 8 lap race is more important than having 300bhp. I like the idea of using Evo brakes, are you doing this on your current car? Yep 1225 kg, No wounder the 320 boys complain about the weight next time you see an 320 E30 series car ask to see there lead collection
  23. *cough* Theres a lot of difference between a road car stopping once from a high speed and race car on a track. Even after 20 laps at manfeild the std brakes in my race car are still good not many road cars can do that. What i'm trying to get at is the std e30 325i setup is very good Also race weight for a 320 series car is 1225Kg and doing low 1:15s at puke Not to slow eh
  24. when you get a chance I would love to see some photos of how this has been done. Evo 4 shares it brake system with the legnum VR4 and was only avaiable for a short time before they went Brembo. 294mm rotor with twin pot mitsi calipers have to be better than the E30 260mm. But in saying that we have never had a brake problem with E30 series running the std brakes.
