If you ever had any doubts as to how stupid Bull Terriers really are - then have a look at this…. Somewhere out there is a naked Porcupine. Inca apparently did not know when to quit when she encountered the porcupine . These are the pictures the vet sent before the long (and expensive) procedure to remove the quills. She had thousands of quills, and her tongue was so covered, she could not close her mouth. It was pretty scary at first. She is doing okay now, but looks like a World War III survivor as they had to cut some out in places, stitched between her toes, and many quills bled on removal. There are still quills buried in her, but they should work their way out over time (I pulled four more today). She is on antibiotics and pain meds and thankfully is doing quite well.

Its the outside ambient air temperature sensor. Its either disconnected or the sensor has failed. When this happens it always reads -40

Thanks for all the input guys. I/she understand the Mac/PC issue. However the reason she wants a notebook is, she is an accountant and all work related stuff she needs to do is on work computers. This is for personal use only, internet, photos, movies and communication on Skype with us & her sister in London. She lives in Welly and works for KPMG. In January she gets transfered to Woolangong as assistant manager there and she doesnt want to lug her desktop with her. She will then be going to Europe for 3 months and then back to Woolangong. She looked at this HP Pavilion DV5-1005TX at Harvey Norman for $2,000 and they have the same thing at Dick Smith on sale for $1599. I think thats what she is getting with XP instead of Vista and with an extended warranty. My other daughter in London uses Mac because it is better for her clothing design work and most designers use Mac Once again...thanks for the input Cheers Glenn

Cam...I honestly have no problem with a person getting assistance for unemployment or injury if its genuine. Too many are taking advantage of the system though,longer it goes on, the less likely those people will be employable. How many people do you know that call in sick with excuses like " I've got a runny nose" or " I hurt my finger" or "I've got a migrain" just to use their sick leave up... in the long run... you pay. Businesses have to allow for that in determining their charge out rate or profit margin... so you end up paying for that. A large proportion of our population these days will exploit any opportunity they can and at the end of the day that costs you. Take a walk around any neighbourhood, especially those on lower income or on the benefit and see how many gardens there are growing vegetables ?? Most quarter acre sections dont even have one ?? Because its to hard. And the hand outs are easier. Alot dont even try to help themselves. Most of our serious offenders are also "unemployed" or on the "sickness benefit" .... I wonder why ??? nothing to do ?? go break into your car or house while your working hard ?? Who pays for that ??....... you, me.....all of us. BTW..how much does a packet of seed cost these days ? about the same as a can or bottle of beer. And you'll find alot of those stacked up next to the back door or in the garage of those houses. I drive through an area like that to get home. Some of the people living there get on the piss every day of the week. I wonder how they afford that ? The benefit + crime + selling stolen goods + selling drugs + prostitution I have people coming into work wanting quotes for services on their BMW's to be charged to WINZ.... yeah right. That seems fair. What I joke. I just tell them I wont do work for WINZ. When asked why, I just tell them I wont support corruption... because thats how "I" see it We all need to harden up and get real. If you want to get ahead and acheive...get out there and do it. Its not easy, it actually requires alot of hard work. But the benefit will all be yours. And the more people in NZ with a better attitude than they now have, would have a huge effect on our economy. I am only guessing here But I would say most of the taxes we pay for go to social welfare & Waitangi payouts and not infustructure There are far too many non producers in this country getting supported by a minority of producers. Income = Tax revenue & market returns in the global sense , non workers dont produce or generate produce, wealth or taxes. They just keep costing the minority of producers

If I get hurt, or sick...I get nothing because I have a business. If I need medical attention ... I get emergency only or go on a waiting list.. If I cant work I'd go broke....who will help me ?? I have to have medical insurance in case of that arising. If I go on holiday, I have to pay someone to do my job so that I can have one. We had a lady from Nestles with a company car that drove her company honda till it stopped. It was seized. She did 72,000 kilometers in it, and it never was serviced...not even once, not even a 1st service. She maintained that she didnt know that you needed to service a car unless it gave a problem or stopped. Good ole Hondas..... poor thing. We had to put a new motor in it. She lost her company car.

My turn now As I see it...my vote is going to have as much effect on the outcome as pissing into Lake Taupo to raise the level. I'm going to vote National though and see if a businessman with a track record of generating wealth can make a difference with our internal situation. I've always maintained that a government should be run like a business and career politicians dont have the knowledge in that field and vice versa with other matters. Really, as far as I'm concerned, I couldnt care to much about it. No government has ever helped me in anyway. I've never had a hand out in all my life I pay more taxes than alot of people earn. I employ people, pay ACC, Tax, and every other expence. I survive and prosper because I work hard. You will get nothing from no one without working for it. Standing in a cue, grissling with your hand out will never get you any where. I broke my leg.... I went to work on crutches. I tore my archilles tendon.. I went to work in a wheel chair. I get a cold....I go to work. If you want something.... GO AND GET IT YOURSELF Dont rely on others to give it to you. It doesnt work like that. As for whos in government... I couldnt really give a rats arse untill it effects me...if it does....I'm out of here lock stock & barrel.
