@Sammo if you get this then getting rid of the renowned steering has to be first on the list. They are renown for failing

They refuse to give me quote to replace the SCR injector and NOX sensors, which are the key components of adblue and could solve the problem. I would really appreciate any solution or recommendation to a reliable workshop in Auckland!
What's the fault? Don't know anyone personally in Auckland but currys suggestion of Eurosurgeon is a good one, only heard good things.

I brought my vert sight unseen, just really wanted a facelift vert. Only issue it had was with the roof but there's been a few niggly things thats failed since but otherwise happy. Also brought a e30m50 off a bloke on here, also fine. Sometimes just luck of the draw

Yeah the car itself is identical but the adblue system is horrible design and when it goes tits up, it's a shocker. Deleting it is the best way, not exactly legal anymore however

Whatever you do, stay away from imported 'blue performance' ones

I think he might struggle, was on trademe for $8k a long time and no one snapped it up

After the earthquakes here in Christchurch had plenty of cracked rims on x5s running 20s but wasnt just a bmw thing, all brands suffered here
-
You can still get front bumpers I think new, but slowly but surely, the rest of the parts are going NLA

Seller is on here although not very often. He had it up for sale a few years ago and not a bite. Maybe cause it's a 4 door?
-
If it is a pile of crap, it's still got value in so far that it's a manual coupe with a non airbag dash, and those clear tail lights 😀
As a base for a track car, it would be perfect. You won't lose money on it
-
Had 235/45/17 on the front until a puncture ruined one, fit fine but currently running 3degress camber and rolled guards but I'm sure they'd still fit just fine
-
Manual conversion is worth almost 3k now days

Have you tried pairing the key to the car?
-
Yes
-
Would love one as a daily again, but they aren't a 3k car anymore

AFA564 was very mint when I sold it, haven't seen it in a while.
The other was CZZ472. Sold that as it lost reverse
-
Yes the gearbox will bolt up just fine
-
You've already got the two I've owned on there. Wish I never sold/swapped my first one

Did the cert man want them wrapped? Or just any type of heat shielding?

What's the cost on a X5 transmission? M5 engine? None of these costs are relevant when buying a new vehicle so why does it apply to a electric vehicle?

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

I've been thinking this today as I've just been given a company car so having two cars sit at home all week isn't that practical. Logic says sell the e30 and e36, and buy a replacement, cashing in on current market rates but could I do it? Not sure...
