  1. This is seriously one of the easiest things Ive ever done and it looks fantastic. I did it on my E32 750iL and all red looks fantastic. One tip would be to only spray a couple of coats and then let it dry before putting it onto the car to test the lights still come through Orange. I got carried away the first time and ended up with beautiul red lights but red indicators also ! Cheers Martyn
  2. All, Im in London at the moment and am coming back in a couple of weeks. Ive spent alot of time looking into this as I wanted to bring my E32 750iL over. It has all the toys and 17' Alpinas that are 10J on the rear :-) The frontal impact regulations do indeed mean that all E30, E32 and E34's are not allowed into NZ. One of the main reasons are driver and passenger airbags. For BMW's it wasnt until 1996 that they were standard and even if you can retrofit them they still dont comply. If the car is over 20 years old though it can be done as it qualifies as a classic car. Ive just bought an E38 96 740i 4.4 to bring over. Its coming in the container with all our other furniture and its costing 3000 GBP. If it was just the car then you can transport that for anything between 1000 and 1300 GBP. Insurance is on top of course and there are GST charges dependant on how long you have owned the car in the UK. All in all though I will save a fortune bring the 740 over so Im happy. After reading this forum for the last couple of weeks Im seriously thinking of what I can get into the container to bring over as some of the things you guys have mentioned are seriously cheap over here. Clear indicators, crystal rears, silver tech bulbs, silver paint for orange bulbs are all pennies in Europe. I regularly buy parts from Germany and have them shipped to the UK as they are even cheaper. Cheers Martyn
