15k is his asking price Tony, its not an auction. Hence the surprise when it dropped 5k the other week.

The price was dropped 5k last week But it certainly looks like an awful lot of car for the money.

Welcome Jim, our numbers are growing

Search google, I seem to remember looking this up before now aswell so try a search on here too.

All good for me Ollie. You need to set yourself up in the correct timezone and have it auto adjust for daylight saving

Well Gavin has come to the party with filters delivered for less than half the dealers prices and Ill sort the rubbers with metal stabilisers on the weekend. Thanks fellas

I dont disagree Jochen but when the dealer prices are 500% more (regardless of the actual price) its time to vote with your feet and buy elsewhere. Can you really convince me that the blades from BMW are 500 times better than Repco's?Surely you agree if you bought your filters from BM Workshop rather than BMW when the difference was only 100%

I have some standard front springs for a 6 cylinder, but you dont say whether you want springs for a 6 or 8 cylinder, you dont say whether you want standard springs or lowered springs and you dont say where you are yet your price is dependent on location !

If you buy from the right place on ebay you may be able to get the fronts and sides for about the same price as those on trademe....probably a little more than that though. But I see the ebay prices have gone up. You can get the sides for about a tenner at Halford (they are the same as the e34 sides) and the fronts used to be under 20 quid. I can recommend the user Ultimate Lighting if you go the ebay route. Ive bought a couple of things from them and they have always been excellent. Exchange rate doesnt help at the moment unfortunately.

My understanding is that pre facelifts only had a wide grill for the v8's but post facelifts had it for everything. I have no idea when the e34 facelift was though, but Im sure either Paul or Boris can put me straight. Of course, its not hard to replace the front and bonnet either.

Woo hoo, lights are in. I can totally recommend the Eurolights guys on TM. Delivery was super fast, everything was well packed, they pre-wired and installed all the xenon for me and supplied all the bulbs. All I had to do was connect the ballasts, remove the original lights and put the new ones in. Total time to swap over was under 30 minutes. I need to find a better way to 'mount' the ballasts and Im thinking of spraying the indicators silver, but other than that Im impressed. Quick shot....

Im no expert but it looks like it could do with some spacers up front

Oh give me a break. What do you kiwi's want? For everyone to get their deck chairs out, sit through the performance and give polite applause when its all finished saying 'jolly good show'? The haka is a challenge, those being challenged have every right to do whatever they want in return and if thats ignoring it, singing Waltzing Matilda or standing face to face with those performing it then so be it. Personally I think the Haka is being devalued somewhat. Having lived in London for 8 years (after having a kiwi connection) and seeing it performed every five minutes does tend to make the gloss wear off somewhat.

They are called micro filters and sit under the bonnet just before the firewall. I think there are also filters in the cabin that are the pollen filters which apparantly are a bugger to replace.

So the touring has failed on its wiper blades and some misting on the left front headlight. Ive taken care of the misting by buying new angel eyes but they said they cant get the wiper blades because the passenger one is too long. They replaced the drivers one for a few dollars but Ive just got the prices from Jeff Grey. $30 a piece for the rubbers alone, is that price for real? I cant remember the last time I bought a wiper blade so I honestly have no idea what they cost? Do repco do blades long enough? I also want to replace the microfilters and they are $90 each plus gst. Can you get those at repco aswell? Again seems like an awful lot of money for a basic filter. I havent been into a repco or supercheap for anything other than cleaning products. I assume they do all both these parts, or are the wiper blades a dealer only item due to their length ? Not the first time Ive had trouble with being too long either

Christmas comes early

So why did they not fix it when they were there ? Or at least tell your mate how much it was to fix ?There used to be a time when you went into your local garage and if they saw your washer bottle was empty or if you had a broken bulb or something needed tightening that they would just fix it and be done with it.

Nice one

Must be for a phone or something, its not standard.

Sure, fifty a piece as it is right now.
