I have a few spare modules around home but im not sure of there uses or where they can be located hah! Anyone who could share their knowledge would be much appreciated.

Hi there in my e36 325i i have a 7 button on board computer, was looking through ebay and they have an 18 button conversion kit. i have a 18 button computer and the indicator stalk aswell, does anyone have the loom which they plug into? also how hard would it be to install it? worth the effort or nah? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E36-18-...sQ5fAccessories

The body should be sweet, it will probably need a really good clean I would think. It was in excellent condition until the engine died. The car does not have airbags from factory would this effect it or it should be fine as its been registered here before.

It’s a 1992 Nissan pulsar gtir

Yeah, well it had engine problems and he just never put it on hold so it lapsed

Question, to reregister a vehicle (which my smart mate didn’t put his rego on hold) back on the road does the vehicle need to meet current import standards?
-
Im going to put a rb20-30 into my one at the end of the year, thought it will be less work as the manifold sits on the passenger side of the car
-
Yeah I think it would be nice was thinking about it the other day, show appreciation of the club and what not.
-
Just a quarry to those who use bebo, has anyone thought of making a club page? Just to show the luv for bimmersport....

ok i see, so does that mean relays, fuses aswell radio etc? about those diff to sharft bolts anyone know what they are?
-
yep its been off the road the moment i found out about it. the four bolts connecting the diff to the drive shaft, are they security torques bolts? The car will most likely be striped now engine gearbox etc will be sold, shell ill keep to start a project with. oh and removing the ecu for welding? is that because it shorts them? how come you cannot just disconnect the battery?
-
Every time I changed gear in my car it would make a clunking noise, turns out the sub frame mount at the rear of the diff assembly is torn out of the floor! The UK boys reckon it’s a common fault in the e36’s (mine is a 92 325i), anyone come across this before? Im pretty screwed aren’t I!

might be after one of these engines only after one which is on the cheaper side. cheers

hey guys just wondering if anyone has had contact with this unit, normaly run on the jap cars. http://www.jdmperformance.co.nz/proddetail...57-7-0-Yes.html it says it controls fuel by air-flow meter/MAP sensor signal, ive hit a big problem where my 92 325i doesnt have a O2 sensor(could be wrong tho), i have a feeling im going to have to go for the full stand alone ecu. Or was thinking of using greedy e-manage which seems to be used a fair bit.

My engine has a two piece manifold which joins into one large cat. I still can’t see anything. Does that mean my car runs on map or just the airflow?
-
as topic says need 2 tyres for a wof, 17/40 and im not 2 sure what size they are going up front so 200 plus is what im after. In saying that if you got 235s then i could be intrested. cheers

Hey guys was doing some work under my 92 325i non vanos, cant find where the O2 sensor would be located. Im guessing upstream from the cat to the manifold? There is a plug by the gearbox, no O2 from factory? Sorry if im miles out on my guessing but i cnt find it. Cheers

Hey guys just wondering if anyone knows anything about the cam angle sensor. It’s a 92 325i non vanos engine, what resistance should the sensor read? Also I have numbers if any dismantlers read this, plug number 1724055.2, lead number 1726548.9 its 400mm long. Ive been told that its hard to get old of second hand ones but hey any help would be good. Thanks

Hey guys, I have a miss problem not so bad when the engine is cold and nanner driven. It becomes bad when u heavily accelerate or put your foot down. It’s a 1992 325i e36, now they problem started after we re torqued the head down. The things which was touch was the loom, coils, rocker cover and spark plugs. It was idling fine before it was torqued so maybe a action caused it to do this. It could be how the earth straps across the coils are sitting not earthing right? or just a coil gone. Any help will be much appreciated, if it is a coil anyone have some cheap ones they willing to sell.

Hey guys im after a few parts, I need front suspension with out springs (really just need the right one but both would be better) for a 6cyl 325i e36 1992. Also after rotors front and rear, and steering rack right boot, please let me know what you have and the prices thanks.

I know what a tappet noise sounds like and its defiantly not that. Yeah these guys where supposed to be good, they even got a bmw specialist spark and a $15000 diagnostics machine (so they told me). Ive been told they they are pretty money hungry from a few people, anywho ive got hold of a crank sensor and should be here tomorrow so ill try that. If not I don’t know, Might have to take it somewhere else.

Ok so the bmw has been sitting in the garage for a month now, it went to the mechanic on Monday. The problem was it was making a ticking noise which increased speed when you reved it more, then all of a sudden it stopped. A few days later the car wouldn’t start, it sounds like it has no fuel in it when you try cranking it over. The mechanics put it on a diagnostic computer which came up with no error codes. They said to find the problem is like looking for a needle in a haystack, there is no spark. Also they said that the crank and cam angle sensor has low ohms readings. Where do I start? Replace the two sensors? Anyone herd of this problem? Any information would help my cause! Cheers Oh by the way it’s a e36 1992 325i.
