we just paid 4500 for a e36 325 manual, came with full gas tank free cellphone and handsfree thru stereo, full service history!! by the looks of this auction i think we got a pretty good deal!! and all off a really nice older lady!!

okey dokey, so we just bought an e36 325 manual sedan. yay!!!! our driveway now looks like a before and after shot with the new standard one parked behind the modified 320 lol! have been to all the local mag shops but nothings jumping out at us, anyone got any ideas, want something wide and with a decent dish! NOT CHROME! we want to be a little different than what we have done with the other one so i thaught id ask all of your opinions! other mod ideas are welcome!! cheers for the input!

im sorry if im about to offend the owners of coupes but heres my opinion. we have two e36 sedans, i much prefer these over the coupes, reasons being, the sedan seems to have a more staunch stance on the road, yes the coupe looks sportier, but i think of it this way, the sedan looks meaner when done up right and more intimidating, id hate to come across an e36 sedan in a dark alleyway when i had nowhere to run and hide lol!!

this is guna sound rough but when we put our one in we just got a short handled philips screwdriver and stabed it through the parcel tray, worked a charm and then the bolt went straight in! i was practically laying in the boot for a while whilst doing it so possibly a job comfortable for a short/small person like me lol!!

thanks heaps guys for your replys. i was right when i was thinking that getting a car within the e30 age range with no rust would be nearly imposible as you have said, my father is more mechanically minded so i think to him it matters more wether the engine is good rather than the body, but i find a good combination of both is best! so would i be right in saying a low engine size e30 in need of a lil tlc roughly 800 - 1500? again, is anyone in welly selling or thinking of selling anytime soon?

hiya, merry christmas everyone. i think ive finally talked my father round to buying himself a bmw, even if it is just his runner!! so what sorta price range is he looking at for an e30 in decent condition, and by that i dont mean all flashed up with mags and tints i mean not to many dents most of the paintwork still on and no rust!! preferably manual but its not a big issue at this stage as im only getting a price range. and is there anyone in welly selling now or thinking of selling soon? appreciate the help!!

im keen for 3 tshirts, mens xl, womens 8-10, and if your guna get some for the kiddies a size 3 please!! will they be printed in bulk or as they get ordered? will they all be the same or do you think you might look into getting some made with the username of the person who orders them?? just an idea, itd be easy to see whos who if we were at a meet and some ppl were wearing them. oh and do you have any idea what the cist might be??

one of my rear brake lights has a mind of its own, it stays lit up when the car is off sometimes, and its alot brighter than the other aswell, anyone know what is causing this? and how to fix it?

i just had a look at the euro ncap ratings for the e36 and i have to say i am slightly dishearted about what it said, does anyone know what speed the crash tests are done at? how is it that the nz tests and the euro ncap test results can differ so much?

need to buy a decent e34 525 or bigger, it must have a towbar, needed to tow a go kart trailor. prepared to travel lower north island to buy, posibly to auckland if the price is right. lol!

ive done around 20k since i got the car last october, what would you guys say is a good amount of kms to have on the clock for a 1992?

I took it for a drive last saturday heres some stuff i found wrong with it The engine makes a slight ticking noise and is in urgent need of an oil change, the gearbox slips majorly in every gear, Interior is in bad condition, exterior is in bad condition and the bodykit did have a few cracks on the lip of the front bumper I didnt find any rust though and it had some bbs wheels The guy was interested in trades too

hey sweet thanks, how would i check those two things to see if it is either of the two causing my problems, also the little button fell out of my alarm remote, any ideas what i can put in its place? does any one know if its worth getting a new remote for my standard alarm or will i be better off getting a whole new alarm system??

i noticed a couple of people in the 'theiving scum' topic mentioned that their alarms were sensitive and went off all the time. mine is such a pain in the butt, i goes off all the time, in the middle of the night and all!! and from what i can gather there never seems to be a reason for it going off. can anyone enlighten me on this, is it common of E36 alarms or is it just time for a new one??

hey thanks heaps for all your suggestions! i will start at the top and work down the list untill i find something that works realy well. i like the sound of easier cleaning in the future so i might try the clay bar and wax. whats a good wax to use on my wheels? im not sure if anything will react or anything, i dnt wanna screw them up just yet lol!!

i polish my mags so much you would expect them to have huge welts in them soon, but i cant get the bl**dy tar of them, ive tried and tried but i put a lil scratch in them today when i had a go so i put the cloth down and thaught 'id better ask!!' does anyone know of a way to get the tar off?
