Hey tomi, Are you selling that e30 at the back as well?
-
How is the condition of the gear knob and steering wheel? How about the boot lid emblem? Would you ship to Auckland?

Thanks sierra. Im now considering just taking the engine out and rebuilding it. I really want to keep it original but also have the hankering for more power. So still undecided. What engine did you put in yours? Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk

So is that bad? I thought you said it was the release bearing? At present (especially if this is more than the release bearing) would it be wise to consider doing an engine swap as I will be getting my headgasket plus top end pretty much "overhauled" as well anyway, seems like a lot of issues that would be more cost effectively fixed by a whole swap?

Thanks Chris, isn't the release bearing part of the clutch replacement? I was hoping to ride my clutch longer as I didn't want to spend the money now... Is it ok to keep using it like that?

Hi guys, Wondering if anybody here can help me with something I just recently noticed on my car. Car is a PFL e30 320i pretty much stock. It started making a clunking sound when I'm idling on neutral. When i press on the clutch pedal, it goes away. At the same time I got stuttering issues when i release the gas pedal, the rpm's dip and then come back. Is this a vacuum leak (the stuttering)? if so, is this also the cause of the clunking? I just found it weird that these issues came up at the same time (just a couple of days ago). If anybody has an idea, i would be grateful. FYI, I do also have a headgasket oil leak which I'm thinking might not be related but thought i should mention it. Video link here so you can hear the clunk and stutter: http://youtu.be/2LHTTD4ngrI

When should we expect these to arrive @Andy? I'm excited! -
Real question (curious) and not trolling or anything, as I can't even imagine sitting on those cars and driving them (would love to though ). Was just thinking, are the cars going to be tracked/raced? Wouldn't any of those cars be too fast for the street anyway? So performance shouldn't really be a factor? Wouldn't this just come down to looks, feel of the driver, and comfort of the driver, and bling factor?

Any photos? What year and whats the k's on it? Cheers Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk

Got fibre at our home office in takapuna getting about 90+/40+ on the 100/50 plan by snap. Pretty hard to go back to normal adsl from that. Saying that also have vdsl via telecom at my parents house getting about 60/9.5 which is basically almost as fast as you can go on vdsl. Vdsl in my parents house because fibre is not scheduled for a long while in their suburb. Either service is worth it though. Let me know if you guys want some speedtests done. I'll have a look at the flywheel mod. Thanks I do agree that it's not the fastest thing in the world but I'm sure i've tried some other ones with more go... I definitely know there's something missing right now and it's not running at full. I hope I find it easily.

Drove it down to Rotorua on the holidays. Covered about 900KM and it seemed to run ok! Wasn't running as strong as it should so will definitely look at some sort tune up for the next few sessions that I can work on it. Photo taken on a stop over.

If the recaros aren't sold to curry, i'm considering them so please let me know. Cheers

Thanks for the replies. I'll try the dealership then since I'd prefer to have it new and last longer than get some used hoses. 87M3@NZ : thanks for the suggestions. Will have a look at the standard stuff as I have been doing that slowly. I was thinking it was something with the ignition so might have to see about the HT leads.
-
Can anyone point me to the direction as to where they normally buy hoses that need to be replaced? Such as the ones badly encircled in red in the photo below: Are these normally bought from our standard parts supplier (i.e. euro-italian/bmw dealerships)? And also my spark plugs have been replaced a few months ago and i decided to check on them yesterday and saw this: I believe my car is running rich which might be the cause of the plugs looking like that or is that a normal looking plug? With that, what could be causing it to run rich? this not sure how to start diagnosing this as it doesn't look like i can see any codes on this engine unless im just not looking in the right places.. Any help would be appreciated.
