I found this. Clicky Sure I've cut a few coils out of my car etc to be a dick. But never have I said "Yeah Cutties what" or made a webpage dedicated to it. All the cars are f**ken queer anyway, what a waste of time.

^^haha. Place and a time for everything.Like between Hellensville and Silverdale at any time of the day.Never anybody out there and no houses for MILES.

Help with Power Sources in dash etc
Nobimmer replied to camera doctor's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
It's an 1996 E39 520i. Yes before I read this I multimetred it and its constant.Lame. Is there another point which is easy to access somewhere behind the glovebox area as I REALLY don't want to start ripping the dash apart as I'm sure to put it back together with a few bolts/screws/clips/panels left over -

Sorry to Hijack your thread. But is that charging point in the glovebox only on when the key is in the ACC position?Want to hardwire my GPS shiz in and that seems like a tidy place to splice into. If I cut it in half would there be a ACC and a ground in there that I could splice into? -
Looks sweet bro think I saw you in Albany a while ago.
-
Nothing.
-
Nah went through 2 wofs at 2 different places and was sweet.Easy enough to just rub the red off the reverse light anyways.Just mask it up and Acetone it off.
-
If you can get into it just use an abrasive rubbing compund eg RUB IT or anything else. Will be a bit dearer but will use very little elbow grease. Also agree that Jif works fine.

Ok,so I found out (by accident) that they are hollow. So now I have one forked shock and 2 very uncaptive springs.Off to Racelign for some brand spankin new Munroes

And I went all red even the reverse lights. Can see it in my sig
-
Yeh I went all red too.Did it in the same product as Glenn used the first time but it didn't really bling much.So I just mixed up my own paint and used some spare 2k clear I had lying around and they were shinny as. I see your on the shore too, could do it for ya...I think I have some spare red and thinners lying around and I def have heaps of clear around somewhere from spraying the Corona. I drink Corona.

Anybody?

Are the inserts in E39 front shocks hollow?I found that my mates E38 ones were and hence couldn't machine them down. I know that the rears are sweet and I've done them before but The fronts seem to be hollow, only reason I think this is because when you push the centre "rod" up you can see an inner "spring" mech? Sorry for the crappy use of describing words but I'm sure someone will be able to figure it out. Cheers Ashkan
