Coming out of the closet ay Graham

Having driven both the E46 M3 and latest RS4, I'd have to say (cough cough) that the RS4 is probably the better car for everyday driving which, lets face it, is 99% of the time these days. If you had the cash and an extra spot in the garage, you'd probably buy a CSL or Vantage V8 as your play car anyway? My daily driver would be an E60 535d Touring if I had the cash and didn't go off road so much for work (hence the Territory).

Great, tidy conversion. Looks wierd with the intake and exhaust on the opposite side to a normal E30 (or any Beemer for that matter). Good Luck.

You missed one of the Territory, so I thought I'd add one for ya

My mate has the same problem with his Typhoon. As soon as he ran his 10.9, they banned him untill he gets a drive shaft hoop and turbo restraint etc. Anything under 11.0 secs gets the treatment. He just said, "don't worry, I've gone fast enough".

Weta Workshop at its best?

For that price, I'd just go out and buy an M3 and frighten the hell out of the residents in LT Rd

Come on then, where is it?

Unless the 19's are purely to enable you to fit f**kin huge brakes behind them, they are a waste of time.Try these Carbon composites behind 20's on the Audi S8 I drove last week. Sigh!

My office looks like that without a storm hitting it.

You could start a colection, "Martyn's Alpina Rim Museum". I can see it now in lights.

A chair got blown off our deck. Never had it so bad.

Good thing the Typhoon was filmed on a closed road with professional supervision then ay.

$1 reserve, only way to go.

Sounds like a good wagon. The presenters a complete bore though. I could do way better then him. He didn't even crack a grin during the drift. Tosser.

He reakons it's cost him $25-30k to get it that quick after buying the car 3 months old for about $55k in Melbourne. Basically starting from the front. Bigger Intercooler 8 Pot callipers and HUGE disks Coil over suspension 19 Inch wheels Ceramic Pistons etc etc (lots of internal work) HUGE Turbo Standard 6 speed auto but with trick electronic TC that backs off the boost when it detects slippage. Still kicks in a 120km/h in the dry! Dick Johnson diff and half shafts. Car is really flexible around town though, easy to drive. A reasonable amount of lag, but you learn to accept that. HUGE grin factor.

I found out that an old mate is now at Giltrap. I will have to try to hit him up for a couple of drives. Aiming for Vantage V8, DB9 and Gallardo. They may also still have that LP640 still there. Will keep you all posted and try to nab more footage.I might be on to new "test drive" thing here, the difference being it's middle aged, mid life crsis males going out and having fun. Lance is a great mate to share it with. It's him you can hear chuckling on the first RS4 clip and he's driving on the 3rd clip. You can see the rev counter hovering around the 7500 mark. All bloody great. Jocko

The wheels actually put me off, some nice 17's or 18's would be better. 19's are too big IMO. I think he'll be waiting a while at $19k considering Cain has had no nibbles at about the same $. Really interesting watching prices. I thought I got Bron's E36 325 for a bargain at $14k 5 years ago. Well, others were asking $18-20k. It's now worth about $3k after spending about $10k on it just keeping it on the road. The build quality is crap. We're now thinking about swapping and her driving the Territory and me the E36. I think the auto is on the way out again (crap Jatco), so I would manual it. Food for thought.

Make that "future" into a "current". I reakon he's already shown he's made of the right stuff. Like they say, the Tiger Woods of F1.
