Where do I put my lunch box?
-
My wife and kids get sooooo embarassed when I wave to other cars. Used to do it when I had the 2002tii.Goes back to the days when Dad did it I guess as he never owned ordinary cars. The ones I remember in order were Datsun 240z (new), mid 70's Capri 3 litre Mk 2 (new), mid to late 70's Falcon XY GTHO Phase 3 (ex Jim Richards), while he had the Capri VW Golf GTi Mk 1 (new), early 80's, the family owned that car for 17 years, sh*t it was great. Ferrari GT330 1966, bought when he sold the Falcon, early 80's til early 90's when he died. My brother in law bought it off the estate and owned it for another 10 years. It's back in the UK now. Audi Quattro Sport (yep, the full on turbo), late 80's till he died. I had a charmed life as a kid. Even in my teens, it was a case of "Dad, there's a race meeting next month, can I use the Cooper S, Tii or Mk 2 Jag to race". We had the SFRT (Styles Family Racing Team), my brother and I had a blast. Sorry if it looks as if I'm skyting, but sh*t life was good. Jocko

Having spent the weekend in Melbourne a couple of weeks back Cain, I gotta agree. Just bloody fantastic and my new ring tone is an F1 car disappearing off into the distance upchanging as quick as he can.Just love it. Great "optic nerving" too.

I hate it when you wave to another nice looking E30 and they snob ya.
-
Sorry, the E30. Electronic. Will crawl arond the diff this weekend when i get out of my jarmies Having a very lazy weekend, although just took the 325 for a fang with my 4 year old who constantly asks, "Dad, can we take the fast black car out for a drive", defintely very little blood in the his petrol system!

Cheers Gus, it's actually a 4 door though. Actually just had it out for a run and I'm starting to wonder if I've got rocks in my head! It's so intoxicating. I had my brotherr with me and he reckons it's going better than his old 325 which wasn't a slouch. Heaps of torque low down.

Guys Am I dreaming at this price? I have had very little interest, but one serious offer a couple of $k less than what I am looking for. Due to the prospect of having to pay $42,000 for my next course of chemotherapy, it has to go. Bloody Pharmac does not cover the cost of this one. Please be brutally honest if you think I'm asking too much. PS, any donations to the chemo cause gratefully accepted. I'm past worrying about being a charity case. I've fought this f**ker for 27 years now and I'm not about to give up. I love my family and life too much for that. PM me. Cheers, Jock

Car is now finished since Gus had it. All hammer dents removed and nuts tightened up!! New Tie rod end, lower ball joint etc etc. 14" Basket weaves, so you're free to do whatever you want. Engine had a bottom end rebuild before Gus got it...goes really well. Pulls like Gus does! Zuast note is to die for (what really sold me the car) Compression test comes up good (+-5psi) Could do with the tappets tightening, but planning to do that soon anyway. Gents The speedo seems to work fine with the gas on, then goes to zero with thte gas off or cruising at 100k's. Any solutions? And, yes, I'm waiting for the first smart answer that says "just keep you boot right up it!" Cheers, Jocko

I know how you feel as I listed the Territory here too, but my theory is that if you have a beemer somewhere in your heart, it's OK. You never know what might tickle someone's fancy.
-
No Sorry, that facelift came out about this time last year, the SY model. My one is 4 speed auto (with manual and performance mode). It also has reversing sensors which are really handy, no camera though. Cheers, Jock

Hi Guys Selling the Territory, so here's the low down. First rego'd December 31st, 2004 so it's just over 2 years old. 42,500kms. Balance of 3 year warranty. Full Leather. AWD. 7 Seater. Hayman Reese, 2500kg tow bar. Roof Racks. 6 Disk, in dash Premium Sound. Individual Climate Control. Retailed at $65,000 (including goodies) when new. Looking for $38,000 firm. Stealers are wanting low to mid 40's for essentially the same car. Great for towing 3 series Beemers, just ask Andrew. Had a change in the way we pay ourselves at work, so I'm better off with the cash in the pocket. Gives me a great excuse to use the E30 as a daily driver for the winter which it will love. PM me for details or if you want to see it. Cheers, Jock

That white E60 M5 has to have one of the most intoxicating exhaust notes I've heard in a long time. The GT was pretty quick in those rolling start drags they were having too. Great find.

Please do, really quite squeeeeeemish everytime I see it. Kinda looking for the panties but then realise it's a bloke. Arrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhh

Guys, I spose we shouldn't be too hard on the guy. He obviously has no idea of the true market value of what is obviously a very tidy and well looked after M325. He probably paid around $25k for it 3 years ago thinking it was a good buy. I have very politely directed him to this forum, so maybe someone wants to be constructive and suggest the market value for it. I'll start it off by suggesting somewhere in that $12-16k bracket depending on how good it actually is. What do you think?
-
Considering a member of this forum just got offered $15k for his very mint one (which I raised my eyebrows at), yes he is dreaming.
