I think the touring of both the E34 and E34 and come to think of it E60 look better than the sedan. Just picture, 35-40 year old blonde MILF in an E60 545i Touring with a Golden Retreiver or similar big dog in the back. Better than porn. Just gotta find a way of avoiding the rich husband.

Maybe "Only one in NZ thinking it's worth $9k". Try $3-4k tops. My wifes 325 with 190 kms on the clock is valued at $5k with the insurance company. Call me a realist in today's market.

Helen Clark has announced a new weapon for our Air Force. I want one too.

Do I assume correctly we're talking E30 here.

Interesting proposition the E28 M5. Lighter than the E34, rarer, some say better because they're a bit more raw. Although M5's have gotten quicker as they have evolved, they have lost some of the "ultimate driving machine" ness, if you get what I mean.I bought my NZ new E34 M5 at 10 years old (2001) at 15% of it's original value ($31,000). I'm picking E39's will reach that mark earlier than 10 years old. The oldest are currently 7 years old (1999 models), and guys on Trade Me are asking 52,000 ONO. Whether they're getting that for them is another question. When they hit $30k, I'll be looking to trade in the Territory, should be within 12 months.

If it's a short shift kit you're looking for, go to www.bmaparts.com, US$75 plus freight. Or email Patrick on [email protected] he's your man, most helpful. I put one in my old M5 and made a huge difference. Got one on its way over now for the 325.

Talk to Trevor Turnock at Alert's and tell him you know Jock Styles (that's me!), ex Onyx NZ. Might get you a bit of a discount.

With the Resource Management Act, it astounds me that these comps are allowed to take place. If a factory discharged that amount of smoke, they'd be shut down immediately and issued with a huge fine.

The old Jungle car flew through the last warrent without one.

Sorry, haven't got a photo of the Landie leaning, pre digital you know.
