Gave up after about 14 questions because I'm not a yank. Who calls a "Square Drive" a "Robertson Screw" for goodness sake? Had 12 from 14 right though. More good luck than good management me thinks :-)

This in today's Herald, sometimes I feel like doing it, especially when they're short phasing. Give me a decent roundabout (or "rotary" if you're in the States) anyday. No photos sorry! "A man armed with an axe smashed three central Nelson traffic light signal boxes yesterday afternoon. Police used pepper spray to disarm the 60-year-old, The Nelson Mail reported. The man repeatedly hit the pedestrian signal boxes with the axe, knocking them off their posts, Sergeant Tod Kirker of Nelson police said. The attack was "unusual" and sparked numerous 111 calls, Mr Kirker said. The man has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon, criminal damage and disorderly violence. He was also charged with threatening to kill after an alleged incident earlier in the day."

Insane Off to Melbourne next w/e for the F1. The mate I'm staying with has an F6 Typhoon producing similar stats. Won the dyno day (torque) at FPV last weekend against 1500 cars!! Can't wait.

Used to sail a Starling as a kid and Dad had a Farr 6000 Trailer Sailer that we used to take up to Waikaremoana for a laugh. Great times.

Yep, agree with you Martyn, whatever the situation, too fast for the conditions. That includes weather, road, skill of driver etc etc. I reckon there is very rarely an "accident". Usually a collision that could have been avoided. An accident arises when someone's health deteriorates quickly (passes out) or mechanical failure. Your thoughts?

Tend to agree with you, but at 100mph, I'd like to think he was on a motorway. Definitely no houses in the photo. We are only here to merely speculate!

You wonder how much damage it would need to write it off. I know that if a Porsche GT takes a hit in the side, they're practically written off due to damage to the carbon tub (I think).

Car: 2006 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Description: This is the first Bugatti Veyron to be wrecked on the streets. It is the fastest and most expensive production vehichle in history, list price about $1.6 million. (US) The Veyron was doing around 100mph when it spun out of control, spinning 3 times before hitting a Vauxhall Astra with a 7-month pregnant woman inside. It then smashed into trees up a 3 foot embankment. The Bugatti driver was with a younger male passenger. The car was taken away by the same truck driver who had delivered it to the owner just a week earlier. The owner is a businessman in his 40's who runs a rental car company with his brothers. Location: B375 near Chertsey, Surrey, United Kingdom

It's called the thrill of the chase guys. Way more fun drinking beer, spending money on parts, shaving skin off knuckles, drinking beer, telling lies, having the wife bitch at you for spending so much time in the garage while you muck around with the E30.... than chatting up a car salesman while you buy your E36.

Gus' old car that I bought off him sounds great, probably the thing that tipped me over the edge to buying it off him. Single resonator and single rear muffler still running twin pipes. I suspect the rear baffles are somewhat shagged though. Great to down change at least two cogs through tunnels!

Just check out my user name!! I want an E39.

Yeah bloody amazing ay. Have you got any photos from the wrong side where the perspective is way out. These really demonstrate the talent that goes into it.

As quoted from the movie The Castle, "There's nothing like the sound of a 2 stroke at full throttle". (Say it with a rully theck Aussie accent).
