check the driveshaft centre hanger bearing and rubber mount and the rubber coupling (dounut) behind the gearbox and the bolts securing the prop to the diff are tight. Also check gearbox mountings have not failed allowing the gearbox to move around under accel/deaccel.. Will

something wierd with this car. The battery box (very rusty by the looks) is over on the passenger side and the fuse box on the driver's side, along with the brake booster etc.... everything is reversed!! The only thing I can think of is somehow the pics have been flipped.. maybe? Certainly never seen anything like it before. curious!

I use Mothers on my polished wheels. Seems to keep them clean for quite a while before needing a touch up again.

Manual conversions for the pre-f/l M10 motor are not too hard to come by. Pay around $400-$750 for everything. Manual conversions for the f/l M40 motor are VERY difficult to get, mainly because of the new BMW race series, any one available is snapped up, prices are probably ridiculous now. Will

says who.. pic of my 16" 3 piece BBS ET25 4 stud wheels soon to go on the wagon.. they are as rare as rocking horse s**t and they are NOT for sale.. but 16's are the ideal size for an E30.. Will

I would avoid an auto if at all possible. Most autos here have had a miserable service history to the gearbox and there are dozens of people on the forum that have had to replace auto gearboxes. I have personally bought at least half a dozen E30's with blown auto boxes and got them real cheap as a result. Autos are also really slow in 318 and 320, not so bad in 325. I would go for a pre-f/l 318 with manual tranny and M10 motor, if you can find one, as my first choice. As the others have said, the motor is bulletproof and in manual trim, is quite economical. I would avoid the 318 M40 motor as it is not reliable and cambelt is a problem. A manual 320 would be ok in either pre- or f/l but the motor is gutless unless revved and has a good thirst. The best would be a manual 325.. imo.. but insurance etc to consider here. I'm sure there are plenty of nice? folk on the forum that would be prepared to give any car you are interested in the once-over for you. I am in the far north so not much help here.. Will

I don't even know where to start, currently own more cars than Andrew has owned in the past 5 years and that is only the beginning!! (in fact I have definitely cut up more e30's since coming to NZ than Andrew has owned cars... , including Ryan's old one.. , and that deserved to die..!! ) My first car was an Austin Cambridge, then a holden premier(hated holdens ever since as a result) etc etc... ...and a thumping great rollcage and 4 point harness!!!

I think the brown is awful on the 5. Apart from that, the fact that it doesn't have a warranty would further put me off. The 7 looks good in silver, has a BMW warranty, and I'm sure Jochen will come up with all the answers (given time) to sort the TV. Nav is great to have too (sure your son will get used to it!). So my vote is definitely with the 7.

Hey graham, we need to do this to your tractor, it would show the 327 eater up!!!

check your idle valve, if you have a bentley manual there is a whole bit on this problem. Turn on the ignition and feel it, it should be buzzing. (first check). Also check the throttle position switch (tps) is working and set properly.
