Trying to talk my old man into getting a covertible e46 instead of an e36, (long story), any way my question is: Can you get a removable hardtop for e46 convertables? Or even better in New Zealand?

With the exception of aftermarket wheels, then yes, it does make any aesthetically modified car rude. If anything i prefer cars de-spoilered. Actually maybe after seeing this i take it all back... Look what a kit can do...

IMO Putting any kit/spoilers on a car that didn't come with them is rude. No doubt the M badges are not far away...

White Chippn off? You guys are lucky. The whole coloured piece flew off, (i put up a post a while back). Apparently BMWorkshop have some generic ones coming in. Also check ebay, thats the cheapest by far

I have two e30s an e36 and an e46. e30s are "analogue". Everything feels more direct and bare, you feel the road thorough your ass. Also the handling is very predictable. E36 is softer (not m), everything feels toned down as far as road and handling feedback. E46 is quite similar to e36 just a bit tighter. Note the e36 is on 17"s

i had it but it was broken. Glueing wont work because then it wont spin. Mite have to try mitre 10 for a generic knob

The knob on my sunroof, (manual wind up), broke/fell off. BMW reckon i have to but a $500 unit! Its just a small plactic knob, any ideas where id get one?
