  1. I had to get new pipes made that come directely from the muffler. The bendy pipe i was talking about. I think F/L may be differnt, but the pre F/L muffler isnt centre with the gap in the bumper, so the pipes snake out to make the tips centre. As they are bent, you can't just slide chome over the top. So new pipes were made with the bend closer to the muffler. Make sense? That pic sucks, they look really good. As good as any full muffler IMO.

    Track car

I wasn't trying to justify the price just highlighting that if it does have decent suspension it is worth paying for.$1000 buy's you good road suspension, which you can't expect a return on and would get you nowhere interms of race suspension. If you have spent the $$ on good race suspension that is tuned to the car then it is an investment in the car and some return would be expected. They could have easily spent over $21k getting the work done, but a car is not the place to try and re-coup what you have spent, esp. an E30, maybe if it were a classic then you may get a return from them?? Why isn't it registerable?? Looks like it has plates to me!?!?! It looks like a perfect car in good condition for a more affluent person to get into racing. Points taken. Sorry just assumed it was unregisterable as its a race car.But surely it is comparable to unregisterable cars, as they can be raced too. I think you could get beter value for a cheap racer.

True, but alot of street e30s would have $1000+ worth of suspension, and you don't expect a return on that. Just seems expensive for a stock, stripped, caged e30 that is unregisterable, (couln't you score an unregisterable m3 for about that?), and has a HD clutch.

    Exhaust Tippings

Well i don't know how its sticking way out when its only 5" long? I had similar problem. Solution was to get new pipe from the muffler. Or cut the tip ro make it smaller.
  7. im sorry for your loss. Loss of understeer?
  8. Nice, hope you have the cable attached to your wallet, its much easier to drain it directly.

    E30 costs

I totally bought at the wrong time. Looked for 6 months, finally found a decent one, (well it looked better than all others i had seen with 200kms), dropped $9 on it.
  10. Mind me asking how much I should budget for a conversion such as this?
  11. they aren't rolled edge ones. The outside is smooth, if you know what i mean. *Edit: Like this sort of thing Pretty good job done by pit stop. New pipe from the muffler, (only way, because of the 325i bendy pipes) and muffler face painted black.

Getting smart? Why don't you say it to my face eir?
  13. I have mp3 playing head deck. (Cheap panasonic 4x50) and its sweet, but if you have an ipod or similar there's no where to plug it in. I would definately recommend a front line in or get the line in hooked up so a cable is out the front, when you install it. Forget FM transmitters they suck. Put your money in speakers. $250 will get you a totally sweet mp3 headeck with 4x50+ power.
  14. A tape deck or something with line in on the front
