How old are your speakers? [ie; are they factory?] Does it make noise when car engine is off? Had any water leaks before? Most likely wires are crapping out and may be earthing etc + road noise + sh*t speakers + you toying with the ciggie light [jk]

Black 'wood' stain, or just carpet dye would do the trick for the tray. Surely carpet places could hok you up. Phone Keith 027 2401077 -- he sells the Jamex's, would be cheaper to go through him then trademe. Deff. satin black the entire grill, kidneys [freebie so I hear], mirrors [sand back any rust bubbles], door handles, aircon heater grill thingies, wipers etc... [if you want a good lasting finish prep. them well ie; clean, sand, primer, sand, paint etc... Looks tidy however.

Satin black your mirrors, wipers, door handles, and maybe the door edging. And imo, if you don't have chrome wheels, on e30s, the chrome looks very dated.

Put facelift bumpers on. Minor modification needed.

I'm wanting to do some work on my standard e30 interior and wanting to know what ideas others have come up with? Basically, post as many pics as you can of your installs for speakers, any screens, mounted remotes, iPod stands, radar mounts -- basically any mod that makes your car different, yet subtle! VHT Window tint from Repco is an option, but a poor one at that. I have a brand new smoking can, unused if you want it? Recommend Ollie for this stuff, unless you wanted to DIY.

Best way to remove the sticky foam from behind a 320i badge [e30] thats left on the car? Have tried scratching, heat gun, meths, warm/hot soapy water... Any other ideas?

Basically I'm allowed to keep the parts car until I'm finished with it, so it won't be going for a wee while yet. I can take my daily off the road, thats no problem as I have access to other vechiles -- incl. a do up n/fl 320i but thats another story. Was more after what should I do to the parts car while I have some holidays, then end of Jan hit the daily with a manual swap. - I'm also liking the idea of a Z3 shifter etc... opinions?

I have a '90 e30 parts car 320i manual done 175k kms which I want to put the tranny into my '89 320i. To make the transition easier what should I be doing to the parts car in between, whats the pros and cons [costs] of getting the flywheel lightened etc and should I be switching diffs from the parts car also or leave the auto's diff in? Also, with the clutch kit etc, should I be going OEM or LuK?

I'll sell mine, may have a slight tear but un-noticable as on other side. $20 [black]
