Gearstick Gaiter to fit E36. Pretty much brand new, was fitted to the car for a couple weeks until I got a suede one. Paid over $100 for it straight from BMW. Only wanting $60. I asked BMW for a leather one but don't believe this is genuine leather... I'd hate to think the price for the genuine leather one! It is ready to stick straight in your car unlike aftermarket ones which require you to cut up another to get the base. Looks just like a mint black gear shift gaiter. If you need a picture of it PM me. Looks pretty much exactly like this one (nicked it off google).

Will only fit compact. Sedan/Touring and Coupe have two different systems. Coupe use a gutter system where it hooks into the gutter to secure it while the sedan and touring have a special place in the roof where you screw them down. Compact has the coupe fixing in the front and the sedan fixing in the rear. Which means they will only fit compact as a set.

You guys are correct. Jap E36's are partially assembled with Japanese content. Why do you think only Jap imports have the Jatco trans?

I don't know Andrew. I didn't use mine when installing. Its either an extra for the M cars which have the redline at 8k instead of 7 or like you said a backup if you screw one up. Got them in yet?

Good ol' carjam Yea, this is how the story goes. I bought them off a guy on trade me who apparently found them in a dumpster with a load of other BMW crap. He thought someone chucked it all out before they left the country. Thats atleast what he told me, he didn't advertise them as being usable though so wasn't scamming. I don't really know if I believe that story but can't really see why he would make it up? Btw, BMW europlates have sold. Not to a bimmersporter either...

Clearing out and also trying to gather the monies for new Eagle F1's. Collected these over the last year or so. Awesome for the garage wall or in a games room. Just like you see in pubs etc. Not really too keen to sell them as they're pretty rare and hard to find in NZ but too bad. 2 x BMW Europlates (BMW008) Hawaii Montana 2 x California (different) North Dakota 3 x Old silver on black New Zealand plates UK plate and the last is unknown, I assume its an old dealers plate. NONE of the NZ plates can be registered again in NZ. Purely for decorative purposes, use in photoshoots etc. Looking at $20 each for the US plates and the NZ Euro's. $10 each for the others. $150 for all of them. Thought I'd see if any of you guys are interested before I stick them on trade me. PM or post here if interested. Cheers

After the trade me discussion I looked at sella to see how crap it was compared and I stumbled across this E34 M5. http://www.sella.co.nz/motoring/cars/bmw/5pj75z/ Kinda a bit astonished at the reserve met, especially considering its only reached $2500 with only one bidder. Could be a serious bargain. Just goes to show how much of the market trade me reaches. I would hate to see an M5 go for that and I hope for the sellers sake it reaches a decent price. Looks like ashmill's old M5?
