  1. Just with AKG 75D engine mounts and stock gearbox mounts, my shifter doesn't move at all when going from throttle to off-throttle and vice versa in the cabin, so I can recommend those.

The 75D gearbox mounts are where the gear noise comes from, and not really needed if the engine doesn't twist. You'd have to brake and accerlerate awfully hard (like a f1 car) to get the engine and box to tip backwards and forwards noticibly with stock gearbox/75D engine mounts. And the movement it does have will move the gate pattern forward and backwards a few mil, not affecting your gear slotting like side to side movement would with sloppy mounts..

Thought through with decent practical experience and theoretical know-how :D

  2. My mate has this exact car. 525ee, full options, same colours as this one. His has done over 510,000 k's and picked it up for 600 bucks with a snapped cambelt. We headswapped and loweringsprings/new shocks-ed it and it's awesome. Way more torque at 2k rpm than a B25. G

ood auto box in them I reckon, so smooth. Of course the redline sucks. But we put a 731 head on so all it needs is a 325i ecu and airflow meter/manual box etc and it'd be a fun car..

6k is way, way too much though.

  3. I'm not sure there are that many better deals - there won't be many cars that are faster and more reliable on track.

Hmm the blurb makes it sound like a road car built for track duties, like a GT3 RS with bigger breasts. But actually seeing a link of it (http://www.eurotuner.com/news/eurp_0911_porsche_911_gt3_r/index.html ) rather than some copypastaed text, it seems to be quite the racecar. I take back previous statements. Half a mil on a car like this plus a pro team would be a ready to race winner.
