    Fantastic!

    This is a goodie.....

    My friend Tim has a mirage, he wants to start a mirage club where they meet up and have cake and talk about mirages and he would love you to join up. At the moment it's just him and he's the boss of it but you can be second in charge and take over when he's away. He is also training to be a spy so sometimes he wont turn up to meetings and he wont want to talk about it after.     Why oh why do people take such bad photos for trade me auctions!

    Ive been waiting for that black tech II to be listed on trade Me.

    The car is just up the road from my work. About 6 months ago I approached the guy and asked if he was interested in selling it, which he was. Only problem is that it didnt go! Water was some how making its way into the engine, mixing with the oil and had basically rooted it. This put me off and I never pursued it any further.

    To be honest the car is pretty rough. The bumpers need a full repaint due to chipped, cracked paint. There are various dings, scratches etc all over the body. Passenger seat is ripped. Cars are always backed into it etc etc. IMO it really has not been looked after and no way worth the 10k asking price.

    Sounds very similar to a problem I had with mine a month or so back.

    Veejay from Page sorted it for me. 1/ The thermostat was shot. 2/ It was the wrong deg.

    From memory I think he replaced it with a 92deg thermostat.

    Problem sorted!

    Hi,

    How many km's do you approx do a week? Plenty or Bugger all?

    I always think of resale value when im looking to purchase a car and tend to look at examples with as low km's as possible.

    I would be going for the private sale (lower km's) and also try to beat them down by trying to get the 18k figure as close to the 16k mark of the one with higher km's.

    Everyone will have their own opinion but thats how I think anyway.

    How much are you looking at spending? Maybe you should look at better examples that a worth a little more?

    Look to buy an E36 off someone who has looked after it ie: full service history and not an 18 year old kid who has thrashed the nuts out of it and does not give two shits if the A/C works.

    Yes, a lot of E36's seem to have sagging door cards or roof liner but I really dont think this constitutes you calling them total rubbish!

    I took 7 months to find my E36. Took my time and brought sensibly and never had a problem. Mine has none of those faults you mention

    Maybe buy an E30. They seem to be the bees knees :o

    My 2dr coupe looked very similar to this when I first brought it.

    First thing, colour code the bumpers & sideskirts. I found this made a huge difference to the appearance. I cant really give you a genuine quote as I had it done "mates rates" Best to take it into a painter.

    Second thing, loose the orange front, rear and side repeators. Get some clears like these but for a 4dr: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-229488543.htm

    Third thing, if you want to send more $$$ get some replica M3 wing mirrors like these: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-229052902.htm

    You will want to get them painted so maybe these are your first purchase so you can get them done at the same time as your bumpers and sideskirts. You'll get a sharper deal

    Rims look good IMO so just leave them

    Been for sale on and off for about 6 months now. He is a member here, its been brought up before.

    He has done an extremely good job with the conversion. Its very tidy.

    The sound from that engine is insane! Sounds sooooooooo good.

    Awesome colour

    It has eyelids and clear tails and corners = not standard

    Plenty of advice on here for fixing any problems

    Actually the clear tails and indicators were standard depending on year of manufacture which I see is 97 so definatly standard :)
