  1. Hey Guys,

I'm after a pair of OEM BMW clear indicators for an E36

Also open to mint OEM amber ones, let me know what you have, with pictures.

Don't want any with small cracks or broken clips etc...

Any how let me know what you may have! Cheers Mike.

I have some amber ones free if u pick them up their from a coupe

  2. so i went with the power flex because they were only $30 more but it seems for trailing arms anyway that the factory bushes are quite prone to breaking free from the center insert, as this was also the case with mine i had a really bad jiggle in the back this was because of the bushes being able to drift side to side. long story short, its fixed really easy to fit as well not so easy to remove. Cheers for the info fellas

  3. i seem to have trouble with excessive camber wear the car is lowered on bilstien springs but not much lower than factory i had a new nankang tire that last just over 3 weeks and down to wires alignment people said that there is only so much adjustment that can be made so i want to replace bushes to rule out the possibility of play. and im also considering adjustable camber arms to allow greater adjustment in hope to correct camber

  4. IMO as to wear, probably material dependent (i.e not all polyurethane bushes are made from same composition of materials), but polyurethane bushes in general are seen to be "forever lasting "

TBH, go with fresh OEM bushes to retain factory ride quality and handling characteristics. Replacing any old worn item with new will make the biggest difference, as opposed to material.

Which car is it for? e30 or e36?

e36 i dont mind the ride difference as the car is very stiff and hard as it is i have powerflex bushes on the lower control arm at the front and am currently having alignment issues in the back so i want to replace the bushes

  5. hey guys just after some opinions on the types off bushes im looking at replacing my trailing arms with polyurethane bushes , But ive heard the they can be more likely to wear out than standard bushes.

so my question is whats best ? i understand the the propose of polyurethane is that is makes the joints more rigid and improve handling but for a street car are the worth putting in

    cheers,

  6. I wonder if you've damaged the circuit board on one of the solenoids and it's only sometimes getting a connection and cutting in and out? A scan should pick that up I would of thought

yeah could be tim and i run scans yesterday no solenoid faults, do they show faults? also i was considering pulling some solenoids from a m50 are they a straight swap? the scan did show faulty o2 sensors but im pretty sure the fault was there befor, but i am trying some others to see if it helps

based on the intermittent faults it not likely to be the intake piston, right?

    thanks for the help

  7. May be able to do it without removal. Have a look through the baisen instructions and make sure it all looks like how you've done it

i follow instructions as best i could and cant see that ive done anything different is there anyway to tell if it isnt in position aslo fault is temperamental and comes and goes if the cam was retarded would it not occur all the time ?

  8. More reading for you. The top three on here are what I'm getting but no codes, like I said worth a try I reckon!!!!

    Another link

    http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=610143

sounds goog i have a few spare tps but there not from m3 but the link did show how to test and providing both m3 and non m3 tps read same figures at the same position then they should be compatible. i have 2 tps

  9. Sounds as if you havn't put the vanos in to the cam marks and it's retarded, especially if it hasn't seemed to have lost any power and if you've ruled out vacuum leak.

can i change this by simply rocking the intake cam at tdc or do i have to fully remove unit again, thanks

  10. hey guys many helpful reply's.

thanks tim id be happy to bring the car over i know where you are as i have brought a few things off you b4 as for josh mentioned that testing sounds like a good way to start as i saw Justin said about the intake marks that is also a possibility im in Te Atatu if anyone is willing to give me a hand, any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a real pain
