  1. have 96 323 i and lost the keys how do i go about geting a key code

has it a transponder type key

any help will be great a bit lost on it thanks heaps

to have a key coded to fit your car you have to get one from bmw and its very expensive but most locks smiths can make a key up for you just not a coded one

  2. hey guys i recently read an post here but cant find it i was hope you could shed some light on this i read that a 318 e36 diff is an lsd is this true and if so will they fit into a 6cyl model and what are the pros and cons of this. ive heard this it true in the e30 models. so are they any good i find it hard to believe but hey i would love to be convinced otherwise besides who doesnt love lsd's haha

  3. take it to a garage with scanner or swap it out for another one.

    i have one.

    in papakura

    021433600

cheers bro i have my own scanner just a cheap one ill scan it over again and check for faults are you ok with me testing with your afm if it works ill be happy to buy it off you and id be keen as to check out your supercharged e36 thanks for all your help

  4. temp sensor is loated on the inlet side of the head just behind oil filter housing.

no afm has to be from same type , so if its a m50b25 vanos then you need one of those types , they are a common one to fail.

do you run the factory air filter or some sort of pod or k&n filter ,

did you oil the filter?? the oil will ruin the afm sensor

i have a aftermarket factory replacement one of the washable k&n type but not oiled or washed is there a way to test the afm

  5. hey guys i need some help/advice i have a e36 m52b25 325 the problem im having when i go to take off from a stand still i sometimes get a large lag as i pull away the motor seem to be be staved of fuel or something similar i also after a decent drive i remove the key from the ignition the engine seems to still want to run and dies at first i thought it was a fuel issue so i replaced injectors and fuel reg all fuel line i also replace the spark plugs and coils i checked all vacuum lines i still get the same problem i also have extremely bad economy like 300 km to a tank and the performance of the cars is less than satisfactory i have no idea as to how to fix this the cars still starts every time also this may or may not help but if car is in neutral and i accurate to over a 1500 rpm the revs rise with the accelerator and when i back off the revs drop and fall to about 500rpm and engine almost stalls and then rise back to idle plese help cheers jayden

  6. hi

yes its 328i m52b28 engine , fitted a m50b25 manifold , using all the m52 sensors and electrics etc.

variable fuel pressure reg to help with fueling .

would work better with aecu remap but have not done that yet.

headers are from a wayney on teh forum here.

if you are using a m50b25 it would be easier to remap the bosch ecu that they use than the seimeins type teh 328i use.

talk to gavin at hi-velocity , i think std injectors and fuel pump will do unless you go for big boost.

this set up is only 4 pounds boost .

but most of the kits you buy run 7-8pounds boost , and come with a chip and bigger injectors etc

so if im looking a simple toyota supercharger and bolting it to my 2.5 engine im hopefully not looking at a huge cost. i like the setup your running why did you use the electronics from the m52 intake, if i use a m50 manifold and replace all sensors as a straight swap from my m52 . Also is the ecu easy to remap. where abouts are you in nz i would love to have a look as im seriously looking in to doing this. and how did you go about mounting the charger did you have to move the oil filter or alternator the mount i see you used was this custom fabricated

i appreciate your help im pretty much in the dark here i havnt seen any simlar setups around so tips are hard to come by cheers jayden

  7. hey man just a few questions and looking at some options here for example im unsure based on your pictures i have a m52 are you using a m50 manifold or which is best, and in terms of electronics what did you use. Also did the headers you use come from a m3 and is this a significant importance in supercharging looking at doing something similar to my young m52b25 and maybe in future a s50b30 i just need to understand the hidden parts in this install i understand the process and the basics but im unsure as to the electrics if you used a aftermarket system or a piggy back or as simple as a factory remap and fuel supply i have a very big Bosch fuel pump that would more then put out but are new or bigger injectors needed im not looking to over boost this engine like your setup i want small boost pressure please help cheers jayden
