  1. As a BMW enthusiast I understand that people want to get whats best or whats recommended by the OEM.

But in my opinion, there isn't very much point in getting such expensive oils unless you either:

    1. Own a brand new BMW and you want to drive it forever.

    2. Own a used BMW, and a lesser oil (e.g semi-synthetic 10w-30) would result in your engine failing pre-maturely - by that I mean before 200,000 km.

This is strictly my opinion, but by the time the car goes over 200,000 km there are many other things that will fail and there is no point in having your engine out live everything else.

Given the above, whats the point of spending $100+ on oil when your 200,000+ km BMW is worth bugger all. Aren't you better off saving that money to buy a BMW when the time comes???

Just my 2c - happy to hear what other people think.

  2. I'm not sure if its a good idea to remove the rubber coupling. I'm not sure if this is true, but I've been told the coupling is suppose to tear apart in the car was in an accident instead of pushing the steering column into the driver.

In the end I just made up an adapter so I could re-use the rubber coupling.

  3. Hello,

I've got a sunroof, side mirrors and a guard on my E30 which I want to get repainted by a paint shop.

Does anyone else have anything they wanna get painted in the same colour (delphin grey), and maybe we can work a small group deal?

It costs a bit too much to get a couple of parts painted, so I thought I might just ask in case theres anyone else out there in the same boat :)

    I'm located in Auckland.

    Cheers,

    Andrew

  4. Genuine E46 Xenon Lights - complete with Ballast and Bulbs.

Lights in pretty good condition. 1 Light is missing a dust cover at the back, but you should be able to get a replacement pretty cheap.

Lights to suit Pre facelift E46 Sedan. But if you have a coupe, I can convert them using your original halogen lights.

Looking for $680, located in East Auckland.

Can add Angel Eyes in for extra.
