Cheers Mike, Yea wasnt so sure on the waterlines but had read somewhere about running them off the throttle body you dont know where any pics are of this been done? Done oil lines before as my last turbo project car only ran oil lines on the turbo. So you actually run the oil drain to above the sump? Im guessing this is because the oil level comes up to high in the sump due to the lean of the M50? Thinks last time hydraulink charged me about $90 for a 1m long oil feed with fittings etc i think im gonna do a braided return also, of about 14mm ID. The dual mass yes is a pig! I think the motor revs alot more responsively now hard to say i think it has better acceleration now. I now question why I just didnt do the solid single flywheel conversion in the first place when i did the M50 swap. Thanks tastic hopefully I can tax a few ideas off him but i might be ahead of him at this point.... went and talked to my fabricator last night and looks like its all go for the manifold very shortly Cheers, Luke

Ok so its been a few weeks and more spending has occured. Still in the early stages at the moment all I need now is a manifold and to sort out the oil/water lines. I have purchased a Turbosmart 50mm Pro-gate Wastegate, SARD Rising Rate FPR with pressure gauge and have installed an AutoClutch 6 PUK Clutch & heavier pressure plate. Also purchased an external 500hp walbro fuel pump and installed my Boost and Oil Pressure gauge. I decided to change to a solid single plate flywheel and make rid of the dual mass flywheel which was on its way out anyway. Heres some more pics....

Damn you! Wish i had your will power haha! such a time consumer bebo and msn and...... i wont carry on

+1 Im very regular on bebo, not so much myspace and dont have a facebook. I'd hardly call my mother or sister a 12yo without an uninvited slap across the face.... More concerning is those that get so caught up in these online profiles to such a point it takes them over or worse off in some cases suicide all that crap etc??? I'd join if one was to exist. Luke

I did the wiring on the inhibitor switch and its exactly the same as the wiring i did on mine and i dont have any problems... in saying that my electric mirrors stopped working since my engine and manual conversion. I think you might be onto something with the unloader relay as there are only 2 points on his starter motor for the starter motor wires we will have a look. Luke

Have you got a facelift right rear tail light? Backed into a car full of indians tues night

Hey guys, gonna get a clutch built for my turbo setup and was thinking of a 5 puk setup. One thing, im pretty sure it will but the dual mass flywheel setup on my car will handle a 5 puk wont it? Also thinking that a 5 puk will be a right pain in the ass on the street so considering a descent heavy duty single plate clutch but how much will a HD clutch handle before i need to go puky? Cheers, Luke

Yea his offset is weird as he said so hence the spacers... the 195s are rubbing like blair said but im wondering if he had a 205 on there wether it would rub on the actual guard not the fiber glass piece on the kit as he stated.
-
Haha that one got me also! I didnt even know u could adjust the height of the factory seats until it came time to swap them out for my buckys lol
-
Just take it to anyone who knows how to weld. Throw in a box of beers im sure someone will be happy to weld it... just tell them to weld the 4 spider gears together and all u gotta do is clean out all the loose weld, fill it with old oil to clean it then put it back together and ur away
-
YES! Spoirlerless is the way blair +1 on that, please dont put one on haha will kill the car Haha if he went any wider in the tyres they would guard rub, they do now when the car squats or going along bumpy roads. You might need to get your guards rolled like mine blair, go see charles at mag & tyre. Gotta get mine done again tommorow, oh we still gotta go for a photo shoot sometime with travis his should be going soon Luke

Hey Mike! Looking good! Any updates yet? Also who made your manifold and what kinda $$ it cost to have it fabbed up? Luke
-
Finally took the beast for a cert today, 6 months later! Damn doesnt seem like ive had it running for 6 months! Suprisingly the car only failed on a few WOF issues.. all the certification went thru clean as! Heres what i failed on for WOF: - Rear wheels rubbing on guards - Exhaust leaks (Pretty sure its the fuel pump hissing) - Power steering line rubbing on left engine mount - Sill damage to both sides of sills - Exhaust mount missing - Certification needed How easy is it to fix the sills back up? Luke

How much they set u back landed in the end? He have many 16"?

Hey bro u can get spring compressors from supercheap for like $40. As far as the p/s goes I have a E30 Haynes User manual in PDF format with all u need to swap the steering rack over. But if you are not that mechanically abled etc its not really for a novice to do any suspension or steering work. Gotta make sure u do it all correct and safely else u will put urs/others lifes at risk. Luke

Yea sweet aye, got the intercooler kit from ebay cost me $510 or something landed freight was more than the kit...
-
Ahh bottom end is good for around just under 400hp i believe, then 500-550hp with a descent tune/ecu, MLS 3 ply headgasket and bigger injectors fuel pressure regulator bigger fuel pump etc... Put Four new gas shocks in last night all shortened so springs are captive now man does the car brake and handle so much better! Also put E30 M325i rear arms/hubs/CV Joints and axles in to help strengthen up the rear end of the driveline a little more, duno how much they gonna handle tho lol. Heres some photos of my intercooler/BOV Kit which arrived, photos arnt that great as i had to take them as quickly as possible. Didnt want dad comming in and asking why i have an intercooler etc in my room haha :L

After my M50 conversion in my E30 I went to turn the air vents on and got nothing. The air only piddles out. Had New Plymouth Auto Electrical to have a look at it when they were fixing my Odometer & Trip meter... turns out there is no blower fan in the core! =S Now I definitely took the air con out but never pulled the dash apart so how the hell did the blower fan disappear lol, as if it just disintegrated!

Dont mean to add insult to injury but hes right mate. Normally front shocks are sold in a pair anyway and they arnt that expensive. If you cant afford to replace two front shocks then you shouldnt own the car and have something more affordable in my opinion? But hey I have been the same in the past we all learn. Have you replaced both shocks yet? Im running nolathane bushes for my front lower arm rear bushes, whats wrong with using those on the road 3pedals? other than feeling the road more.... Luke
