Even more so did you put enough in it lol? Does it leak at all? If so make sure you havnt damaged any seals. I put an auto box in my car to replace the old one and that box had been sitting for a few years and the input shaft seal went solid and only lasted 2 days, crapped out leaked oil and that was the end of gearbox lol...

Yea thos Golfs can look the part done up right. Theres one i seen on some forum and it had BBS 16" RS's on it looked amazing.

Cheers bro, sick avatar Yea you and me both man just purchased another motor last night. My head from the original setup I was going to use is beyond repairs... $538 of work and labour and no result! Got a full head gasket set from it though. Have bought the motor that my gearbox came off from Birch ave autospares in Tauranga. Damn if I had have known that my head was gonna be stuffed i would have bought it all as one package in the first place. Atleast I have a spare block now though to play with for FI Luke

Hey all, who would you guys recomend for a custom exhaust manifold to fit my m50 in my e30? Dont care about tuned length etc just need to get it running so want the cheapest thing around, probably go FI sometime in the near future so not worth spending heaps on them. Cheers, Luke

Yea def euro style twin exit. I know mine was rather cheap but the baffles seem all good inside. As far as twin entrance/exit on the tip u can get a twin entrance on that style muffler, im simply running a single entrance because my system is going to be 2.5" single exhaust pipe from the downpipe back. I'll get a video of what it sounds like when the cars running hopefully next week. Haha yea cant be to healthy that many lol! I dont drink that much I just kept the bottles who knows why... Luke

Hey guys, found out today after all the work the engine rebuilders have done on my head that its F**KED! the cracks were welded then they pressure tested it and its no good, pourous and leaking bad... I know they are very slim to come across but im after an M50 B25 head non vanos from an E34. If anyone has anything or knows of anything anywhere id much appreciate it. Cheers, Luke

Oh yea good point i missed there guys... its a 323i manual pre-face lift going into a 320i face lift. So looks like everythings going to work out. Here's hoping that the box is still mint on 280,000kms... Cheers for the info guys Luke

Yea Blairs car is a 320i with only 80 clicks on the clock so only justification of swapping the 323i motor in, is if it gets a rebuild which i dunno if he would wanna spend that kinda money... we are going to get her running in the next two weeks only needs a fan belt a battery and a small hose... As far as the chrome bumpers go they are mint as in no rust spots or anything! I was actually amazed in their condition especially when the paint work on the body is pretty average. Cheers guys

Hey guys, I know when I went to put a pre-face lift auto into my face lift e30 i had to change bell housings over and oil plate for the auto trans oil lines. But with the manual conversion should we need to swap bell housings over? We have a complete donor 1987 pre-face lift E30 for a manual conversion for my mates 1990 E30, is it feasible? Cheers, Luke

Hey guys, me and my mate Blair just picked up an 87 pre-facelift E30 for a manual conversion. Just wanting to know if the 323i motor is worth much with 270kms on the clock? Also the chrome bumpers are still pretty mint and what would they be worth? Cheers

All good. Theres some finer things that I have missed out. I started out not planning to document it as my camera is very ill to say the least. Yea man it sux hard! Get sore arms etc but yea its worth it aye. Yea machining marks are the worst u should see the marks the stripping disk left in the smaller corners bah so hard to get at cant see them in the pics tho thank goodness

Yea man painful too... i hate sanding couldnt even get all the scratchs out but u can notice them in the photo
