  1. Hi Kym, the word that you use in that sentence that jumps out at me the most is CHEAP. I have been down that track before and it is not worth it even if it was the right manifold for your application. Have used cheap manifolds before and this really is the vital area where you simply can not cheap out. Eventually you will end up spending more money having cracks re-welded and that of course involves labour which is expensive. Most cases its easier to have a custom manifold made by someone who knows what they are doing. Luke

Oh man thats worse than mine mate.... I found mine rusted around the rubber grommet that all my fuse wirese come through from the fuse box... What did you need to strip away to weld a new plate in? Sux my car fills up deep puddles! What did it cost to have all the rust fixed? Be good to see what becomes of her

  8. Hey guys, had the panel on the bulkhead off on Sunday night and ran power from my battery to the blower for my fan/heater. It all works fine when i supply it with power but still does not switch on when i try to operate it normally from the fan speed switch in the centre console... Im still trying to fully understand the wiring diagrams out in the haynes manual so cannot come to any conclustion as yet. Im picking that something is missing when i did the M50 conversion.... i did strip the aircon + all associated wires out of the engine bay could one of these wires be and earth for the blower or reason why the blower will not go? Have also checked fuses... there is one relay missing from the fuse box (one of the silver ones along side all the orange relays) Have also checked the switch in the center console for continuity and the switch is fine.... Please someone help I would like to have my heater for Thursday night when Blair and I head up for Waihi and the meremere meet on Saturday Luke

  15. True Im gonna give it ago. Save me replacing all the bearings in it. When i filled my gearbox up i filled it to the level of the filler hole in the side of the box with the box flat on the garage floor...
  16. Yup torqued everything up properly with my torque wrench Ollie. I didnt do the oil as I only replaced it when I did the conversion at the end of the year, however I did top it up. Yea so I've been told but as you say im sure it wouldnt be noisy when the clutch is clamped... The noise is rather loud very definite and clanky etc.. Haha yup westy when the clutch pedal is out. What do you mean by sounds like a diesel? And yes definitely worse once the gearbox has warmed up, gets much louder. Maye I should replace the oil for a start and also might take it to my mate at brake & clutch to havea descent listen. Luke
  17. Hey all. Ok so I got my puk clutch in 2 weeks ago. After getting it in it started making a clunking noise at idle only when the cluth is engaged in neutral. When i push the clutch pedal in and the clutch disengaes the noise goes away. Also all the front gears on the shifter (1,3,5) are very easy to pull out of gear when off the throttle whilst driving along. 5th gear would sometimes pop out when coasting on the open road. So I pulled it all apart again to check if my release bearing and spiggot bearing was ok and they are both sweet. Put it all back together and the noise is still there and has been getting louder. I think i may have ruined the input shaft bearing when I put the gearbox back on, being my typical ruthless self had weight on the input shaft when trying to slip into place may have caused the damage. What do you guys all think? Any input apprecieated.. Cheers, Luke
  18. Thats right and i think that there are much larger contributors than a few thousand lambos... massive factorys etc thats where they need to hit hard. Obviously yes millions of cars worldwide have an effect also.

  21. Sorry Mike you probably did haha! That photo of your down pipe looks so tight fit between the steering arm and block I was thinking of making my downpipe going round the other side of the steering arm but might change that idea. Does it hit on the steering arm at all when cornering left? Luke
  22. Respect a culture that intentionally straps a bomb to themselves and detonates it in a crowd of innocent people? Love the respect they show for the western cultures....
  23. Mines still going strong and ive had it for about 2.5yrs but hardly ever gets used so i guess that has alot to do with it. It has frozen a few times but thats a simple fix at the press of a few buttons...
  24. Hahaha tastic!! Yea those turbos sound amazing along with the sound of a nice grunty eight, massive capacity no wonder they are putting out so much grunt 1700nm of torque I cant believe the whole side of that block blew off.......
