Something that seems to be in great demand at times Might be worth a look for those with M30 auto's http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-176810158.htm

Just so you know, if you cut your rear parcel tray, you'll need an engineer to re-certify your car after you get it repaired because it wont be roadworthy anymore. Deadly serious on that. If your so into 6x9's build up some boxes. But no cutting!

I've got more - for actual E30 models but cant find the book at the moment.

How many NZ New E30 318is' are here on Bimmersport
3series replied to far4ngn's topic in General Discussion
I know of one really mint red one with colour-coded front lip in Hamilton and another silver one with ACS wheels on it in Papakura. -
yeah its a lot of work for a road car, but gains are pretty good. buy pre-fl 320i motor with high top pistons- $250 on tradme maybe ? take current head - $300 worth of machining etc new headgasket seat $120 new head bolts swap a few bits and bobs over = fudge it all together. Prob end up costing around $1000 which is around same price as getting a zaust made. Some people are getting 118-135hp @ the wheels with these engines.

Loving your response - put it this way - you might think this community is f**ked but .. the reality is - word gets around - and the only person willing to pay that sort of money for a car like that is probably bound to be warned off in pthe pipeline. Good luck with the sale, toodles! Whats more, its interesting this guy was able to get ahold of your considering as your phone number doesnt look listed on there.

Me running in third position ollie close behind. - wasn't like that for much longer

You could always Hybridize your car.. not cheap but good results. Add a pre-facelift bottom end with high top pistons to your facelift head and you will see some fairly good improvement. This requires a fair bit of work though, you can recondition either end (head or bottom end at extra cost. Its worth doing the head if your going to take it off.
