I really did feel like crying.... Though, I might try ringing BMW & see if they wanna use some of this as publicity material. Taking out two concrete telegraph poles & driver walking away with noting more than a bruise on the arm is something to be proud of. Still, was surprised at the actual damage - I thought it'd be a lot worse. Hasn't even gone as far back as the engine.

Bostongrün on the E36 coupé is fantastic. Montreal blau with a Ivory leather trim is a stunning combo for all models, though especially the E36 & 46. Estoril blau looks fantastic on the E39.

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on TM but the ones I've seen have either been amber, altezza-style or not any cheaper than the dealer..

I've once managed to get 600km on one tank. Though, there's no point trying to read numbers from the fuel gauge. The infallibly accurate way is to note your odometer reading when you fill up, & then note it again next time you fill up & note how many LITRES it takes to fill up - that'll tell you exactly how many Ks you've done & exactly how many Ls it took to do them. Over easter I averaged around 10.5K/L, though that was highway driving. round town I seem to get about 540km per 60L so about 9km/L. This is an M52 engine & have only ever used 96.

Hmmm well whaddya know, it IS popped up on tilt after all..

This is going to sound like a dumb question, but as far as I can tell the sunroof on my E36 only slides, though I'm not convinced it's not supposed to tilt as well - are they supposed to do both or do they only ever do one or the other? If I press the close button when the slider is fully closed, the bottom panel of the sunroof slides back by itself in such a way that makes me suspect that that might be a "tilt" setting..

I get the same thing from time to time, although it's very intermittent - dash says CHECK CONTROL & the control computer says REFER OWNER'S MANUAL - BRAKE LIGHT CIRCUIT though I had my gf check & they were working fine. Definitely sounds like gmccormack is onto it..

The silver one posted earlier looks absolutely stunning. Problem is that so many Jap imports are a similar colour but much duller and don't do it justice, and it sort of brings the rest of them down. I've seen a couple of blues that look stunning, like this one, though personally I prefer the bostongrün.

I could go and take a look for you, I'm even in Lower Hutt too. Though, wouldn't be able to do it this weekend and you'd need to tell me exactly what you want me to take notice of.
