No I don't think it is, I am pretty sure it is a different car. Did you not check it out while you were there?

    Classic Car show.

I thought it was a pretty cool show. Nice to catch up with some peopleI haven't seen for a while. the highlight for me was the 39 Ford Coupe that had been chopped and lengthened and god knows what else!. The amount of work that had gone into it was incredible!
  4. looking good Linden! Any chance you have a pic that shows the wheels clearly? I would like to put one up on our website if possible? Andrew - the wheels are 17x8 at 38ET
  5. Hi Aaron We import and sell Altenzo tyres and they are by far the best value for money tyres we have come across. They are more of a touring tyre than an out and out performance tyre, but in saying that not everyone needs a performance tyre. We have sold a lot in the last 6 months and have been getting great feedback about them. They are nice and quiet and offer good grip levels in both the wet and dry. They are designed and engineered in Australia but made in China to keep the costs down. The factory is relatively new (only a few years old) and uses German equipment. Unlike a lot of other Chinese tyres they also have silica in them. I am not sure how they compare to the Hankook's as we have not had anyone give us any direct feedback between the two. If you are looking for a performance tyre then I would recommend the Toyo Sport Truck II over these. If you are lloking for a touring/commuting tyre then the Altenzo are unbeatable cheers Johno

We always get "what is your best price?" I then add 20-25% because it is the best price for ME! (I make more money). Then when they look at me with a strange expression, I ask them if they would like the original price that was offered or if they offer a low ball price because they are paying by "cash".. I always say that is is a good deposit for layby and ask when they are likely to pay the balance PS - Cash sucks... I have to go and bank it and get charged a fee to do it

    HAHAHAHA Brilliant!!
  14. yep, always has been... however rumour has it that Dunlop are no longer sponsoring Targa which in effect means any tyre should be able to be used. Our custy has the M1 compund and they have been on an Evo 9. I am trying to get hold of him but they may be too worn for your liking. I have loys of Targa "stories" to tell but probably best left for when you are having a beer.
  15. They will be 235/40/18's as Toyo do not make a 235/60/18 in the R888. One of our customers has a whole lot leftover after just completing Targa (top 5 finish) but he uses the M compound. I can check and see if he wants to part with them?
  16. Go and see Grant @ GT Refinishers on Walls Road, he does a lot of wheel repainting and pinstriping.
  17. ALL wheels should be hubcentric and not rely onthe studs tocarry weight. Tristan... go to Wheelfixit, they do all of our work and they have a very very expensive fandangly computer controlled machine which they will use to bore out the wheels.
  18. If so, please get him to check his messages cheers Johno
  19. Why do you want to run those two sizes? The 205/60/16 is over 10% taller than the 15" (650mm diameter vs 585mm) so it is going to look very very strange. You can run different size rims ( we do a few 18" front 20" rear combos on old yank tanks) but the goal is to try and keep the total overall diameter as close as possible to OE, so the rear tyres will be a lot lower profile than the fronts. If it were me running those two rim sizes on an e30 I would be looking at a 205/55/15 front and 205/50/16 rear as they are very close to each other in terms of overall diameter. You coud run a 195/55 at the front but it is slightly smaller than the rear.
  20. This.. do it once and do it right
  21. No self rspecting wheel or tyre shop should be selling anything that is 10% larger. It is not only stupid it is also illegal. WOF laws state that 3% is as big as you can go. We go to MAXIMUM of 2% as sometimes with tyre upsizing you can't get it 100% correct. The extra size can cause extra stress all on all of your driveline components, including the engine and gearbox.
  22. Sorry to say that I have to agree with Cam here. How many of those ML's are selling in the South Island at those prices? If you are buying from the North Island, won't other prospective ML buyers do the same? Not having a dig - but just offering another perspective
  23. When you are in here today we can show you exactly what to do, then if we are not to busy you MAY be able to borrow our hoist and air tools
