Josh - what model BMW are they going onto? I presume it is not the 7 series in your profile pic. Edit: ok blind guy here just read your ride section too. As you are on a budget I would run a 225/40/18 . 225/35/18's tend to be quite expensive. We have a number of tyres avaialable ranging from $149 each on the car through to $229 each for Eagle F1's. This includes all fitting and balancing. We are having great success with a tyre called Nexen. It is a Korean tyre but the quality is awesome - so much so that some of our customers are replacing their Eagle F1's with them! They are a silica based compound, are nice and quiet, seem to have a great amount of grip and they wear well!! Kind of ticks all the boxes and at $199 each you can't go wrong! click the link below!! http://www.nexentireusa.com/tire_detail.asp?pid=107 We are onto our 10th and 11th container loads at the moment - in the space of 1 year. All prices are Bimmersport member prices by the way - cheers

old lead weights from balancing wheels?
-
try being the only 7 series there!
-
what size are your factory tyres at the moment? Being a 316 I wouldn't run 235's as they are too big, a 215/35 or 225/35 would be the way to go depending on the brand of tyre.

you wil have to go to a compliance centre, they will basically give your car an extremely thorough WOF check. Ie remove all wheels, check hub assemblies, bushes, ball joints, suspension, brake hoses, pads and rotors etc. They also pull the interior to bits to check for any dodgy repairs etc, should cost around $400 mark. I know of a couple of places in Penrose but nothing on the North Shore sorry.

EOI: Adjustable Top Camber Mount

have emailed the supplier asking for more details. will let you know early next week - off to the V8 taxi racing early tomorrow. -
what does it mean by hub centric and imperial
zenetti replied to E28 Master of diguises's topic in Wheels & Tyres
If the wheels are not hub centric you will DEFINITELY need centre bore locating (CBL) rings. Most european cars are notorious for the 'shakes' you describe if the wheel is not located centrally on the hub. Kiwi535 had the same problem a while ago and teh rings solved it. I highly doubt it will be a bent wheel as this would have shown up when when the new tyres were fitted. PM me for more details if you want. -
our store!!!! 108 Hutt road petone!!

for a start these wheels are .5" wider than the ones loeuro is looking at and they will probably be a lower offset too, which makes them stick out further. The higher the offset the further IN the wheel sits, hence my statement about no guard rub. The wheel that Loeuro is looking at is probably too high an offset for an E36 and will foul somewhere in the front, cheers
-
they will not rub on the guards due to the offset, instead they will tuck well inside. What you will probably find though is that they will hit on the inside struts at the front, especially nearing full lock The rear will have no issues at all though.

they are an American brand but out of Taiwan (like most things these days). Not a name brand as such but come with full warranty obviously. -
EOI: Adjustable Top Camber Mount

not even going to justify this with a response (although technically I have ). I asked for expressions of interest so if you have nothing positive to say, or are not interested please don't waste all of our time, cheers. -
EOI: Adjustable Top Camber Mount
zenetti replied to zenetti's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
yes these are for the front, can also get rears but not camber adjustable. CamB - I am sure the bearing is replaceable, cheers. -
Hey guys and gals Looking at bringing these in for E30, E36, E46 and possibly E34. Also available for E30 & E36 M3, E28, E39 etc. These have full camber adjustment, suitable for road and track. Just wondering what sort of interest there would be. Pricing would be around $400 for the pair. cheers Johno

Control arm bushes need replacing. This has happened on 3 of our 7's and 2 5's. For some reason the bigger diameter wheels cause the problem. We are just about to do our 735, it is actually easier to replace the whole arm (and cheaper) than trying to press out the bush and press a new one in.

TRUE stalkers would have an A4 pad and a box of pens in their glovebox along with all the other associated necessary optical aids
