Sounds like there isn't any bad history on this car, how much is a 3 year mech warranty worth these days? Tim 325 Not really into the 4dr plus that's a uk import, also Jeff gray offered me a 4dr with factory BMW warranty for the same type of money plus it was NZ new too

I've been keeping my eye on the E92 M3 prices, watching them fall maybe into my price range. and this car seems to be a hard one to sell. I first saw it listed by the ex-owner for i think $76k then the price slowly came down to about $70k. It then got listed by a vehicle broker which didnt sell and now its for sale by a car yard which they had it for $69k-ish and now even they dropped the price to $66,995 anyone know this car? is there something thats putting everyone off it? http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-608548652.htm thanks

FYI ecs tuning $99.56 + $64 shipping (USD) http://www.ecstuning.com/Search/SiteSearch...94832/ES128292/

Wow uk import, 47km for $95k! How much is Tom's car worth then?
-
the center cap doesnt look right and now with a better look, it doesnt have BBS stamped on the front. Also being bbs they should have metal valve stems, unless someone changed them
-
pre purchase inspection, like all BMW they are costly to fix plus the e46 m3 are common to have problems Also those bbs wheels doesn't look right? Fakes maybe?

At Jeff gray in chch there is a white isetta parked inside the showroom, very cool looking Plus they have pretty much all the M cars in stock, 1M, M3, M5 and a M6

so does it mean any dealer bringing in cars from euroland need to get a Cert of Compliance from bmw,audi..etc? what if you bring a bmw in from japan? no need for a Cert of Compliance? -
You can ring up a dealer and get a ballpark figure, they should know a rough price but all depends on how maintained the car has been
-
I've used them a few times for oem BMW parts and no complaints

old hero vs new

Maybe see if you can buy a Mechanical warranty since they are a dealer? I remember seeing this car in chch too
-

-
thanks dave i think its going to be a car on my wish list since they are so hard to come and the cost of one restored to my liking would be very costly. if you do hear of one for sale in christchurch please do give me a pm. thanks Phil

25k would be around the budget I'm looking at, but not sure if i could get one at original condition with no aftermarket parts for that price....body work doesn't have to be great, just no rust would be nice and interior could be retrimmed but needs all the original seats...hahaha I am asking for too much? What was replaced in yours? Rubber parts? Suspension parts? Engine components? Thanks for your input
-
Thanks again rag-top They all seems like they are missing bits ie aftermarket wheels,seats...etc which sounds hard to source and guessing would be expensive too since they would be "m3" only parts I've started looking around s14.net and reading up on some of these builds. My god it has scared me....full strip down repairing rust, replacing this and that and I'm not sure I have the budget for that
-
Thanks rag-top The Nelson sounds pretty cheap, are parts expensive and hard to come by in NZ? Or most things will need be sourced overseas? I guess I will have to wait for one to pop up closer to home or one that's known to be good by fellow members.

i wished it was in chch so i can go and view is jap spec same as euro? is the normal gearbox ok or dogleg alot better? how often does a e30 m3 come up for this type of price?
