I know, my camera is very average . Hopefully getting a mate of mine to take some real shots with his pro camera .
-
Hehe, been shooting like mad trying to find that perfect shot for the callendar.
-
Will try and convince my mate to sort me out with another pro shoot. When is drop dead date Ollie? This Friday?
-
Hahah, well done mate. I would say the last shot would have to be the winner.
-
Sorry to hear man, thankfully no one was hurt!

Other than keeping her running in mint condition, I am considering "non engine related" performance mods i.e. suspension, brakes etc... Put it this way, no turbos just met Matt
-
Cheers for the great feedback guys ! Yep you would be right, mainly due to the big wheels. I will be looking into suspension soon but purely to improve performance.

Yay! got the car back from the panel beaters today where I had the rear spoilers painted and the guards rolled to accommodate for the tractor wheels . I have now officially finished my "appearance checklist": euro plates angel eyes eye brows rear window spoiler boot lip spoiler mags (few sets to choose from depending on the "circumstances" ) My theory here was to try and keep it subtle enough for "BMW tradition", yet noticeable enough to stand out from the hoards of E36's out there on the roads these days. I guess the 19's may step on a few "purist" toes but I simply love the aggressive look it achieves, I will continue the search for a BBS alternative at some stage but these will have to do for now. The only thing left now is to get rid the bloody stone chips (NEVER drive behind a GT-R on NZ open roads... bad idea )

Yeh, I expected that from you , give me the benefit of the doubt and wait till you see them up front. Photos don't do them justice.
-
Where the hell am I going to find a set of those... I spent aaages looking for the CH's p.s. just had a quick look and it may be blasphemy but don't like the look of LM's... CH's own them ez. I may be looking at something different though, feel free to post some pics.
-
Yeh, I have to keep a set anyhow to use on the track. And yes, those are the ones off the M3 4 door .

Latest update: 19" Deep dish mags with 265/30 rubber on rear and 235/30 on front. Took some quick snaps on the old phone (will update with better ones once I get the car back from the panel beater as it's getting the guards rolled). Now, I know that the BBS CH's were going to be hard to replace, especially due to the fact that they don't restrict the cars performance as they were super light weight 17". But I simply could not help myself, deal was hard to refuse. There is one problem now, at the rate I am going I can probably open my own mag warehouse lol. I have a set of CH's and a set of factory M3 mags sitting in the garage and I am confused which I would rather part with
-
Yeh, I think I will give that a crack too! Need to get up early to clean the car thoug
-
Yep, those are the "runabout" wheels he is investing in a new set very soon
-
Yep keen, man wish you would post this stuff earlier... So tomorrow 9am, mcleans island road?
-
could not help myself.
-
Yeh, will be taking it to a few panel shops tomorrow and see what they say.
-
Right, I have got myself a set of 19's and I am pretty sure the guards will need to be rolled. How much will this generally set me back and where are some good places to go in Christchurch? I am 100% sure Mag&Turbo can do it but was wondering if there are any other options. Do "Mag and Tyre" do a speical for bimmersport members ?
-
Why have you left me out of the equation ... Matt has no clutch (keeps slipping under the power) so we never really found out but Matt has an extra 120 odd horses under the hood... I have given the GT-R a good go a few times and I am ahead till about 120 untill he gradually reals me in (his top end is vicious). But yeh, Matt should have him easy... for now anyway . Oh yeh, eye brows are getting re-sprayed with the windows spoiler I bought the other day ! Back on soon.

A good friend of mine has been doing a GTS-4 to GT-R conversion. After a sh*t load time, money, blood, sweat and tears he finally finished his project and we took it out for a play around diamond harbor the other day. Seeing Matt (eco_complex) was on the way, we popped in and dragged him out as well. So yeh, with a total of 18 cylinders, 3 turbos and a boot lip spoiler (my latest mod ) there was plenty of fun to be had on the day.
-
Cheers for the info, I had a feeling it would be displayed there but I have been too lazy to pull them off and have a look .
-
Ooh, I never knew you had this project going Mike... You should bring it along to some of the Christchurch meets...
-
Thats pretty harsh man, it's just a little critter... a good "punt" could have broken a few of it's bones.

LOL! easily the best option. You have to admit though.... the cat has an impeccable taste in cars . But seriously, surely fixing the garage is the most logical option?
