Hopefully the E30 version of the Bentley is better than the E36 equivalent. I often find they brush over subjects expecting you to work out the fiddly bits for yourself. "Installation is reverse of removal"? .... That's one phrase I don't want to read again!

I've been onto Pelicanparts.com and they have both the pre-95 and post-95 mouldings but I can't tell from the pictures if they're bumpy or smooth! I figured they may be cheaper than getting them from the dealership Nick021.... if you look up the M-Technic bumper for a 94 car and then a 97 car you'll notice the mouldings have different part numbers. I'll pop into the dealership tomorrow and get the right part numbers (hopefully they have some in stock they can show me) EDIT: BTW, thanks guys!

Thanks! Hmmm, so why the two sets of part numbers? And the mouldings for the 95+ cars are cheaper too!

I'm thinking about installing my replica M3 bumper, and when I pulled it out of the box today I noticed the bumper mouldings are smooth as opposed to the rest of my car's mouldings which have textured finish I figured this was because it was a knockoff bumper, but after having a look on realoem.com I noticed there are in fact two sets of part numbers for bumper mouldings. One for pre-1995 cars and one for 95 onwards. So... long story short, can all you peops with an OEM M-tech car please tell me if your bumper mouldings are smooth or bumpy?

1: Porsche GT3 RS 2: E30 M3 (in black) 3: Mk II GTI Golf (black with BBS RS wheels) 4: Ariel Atom (or some other track weapon that's equally as fast) 5: E92 M3 coupe (AC Schnitzer enhanced)

Technically those are M5 reps.... Pic below is of M6 reps. That's good though, because I didn't think the M6 reps would look good on an E34.

Sometimes I wish I still lived at home.... think of all the money I'd save etc. Then I go round to the olds for dinner and in the space of two hours I quickly realise why I left there in the first place!

Those look like covers, you probably have black covers underneath.... they should literally peel off.

Radio copywriter/producer/announcer for Radioworks (parent company of The Rock, The Edge, Solid Gold etc etc) I drive the company cars sometimes... The Rock's new SS Ute FTW!

Jason Richards (V8 Supercar Driver) came into work today to promote his Celebrity Go-Kart race in Christchurch next weekend. Really nice guy, very chatty and not stuck up at all. That's my brush with greatness for a Friday...what celebrities have you met and what were they like?

Just get the plates with the Deutschland logo on them... I've had them on my car for over a year and no problems whatsoever. EDIT: Had one speeding ticket and numerous parking tickets in that time as well... no one's mentioned anything about the plates.

Wheels, clears, paint the gray bits and that'll be a sweet car! Nice work.

I'd take the putty out, roll it into a ball and then head back to the dealer, plonk it on their service counter and say: "Hey, there... think this is yours!" and demand a discount!

Post a screenshot.... I trawl the BMW parts section of Trademe every day and haven't seen these?!

I love the wheels... they're so 90's! I'd rather have the red one in Chch with 104,000km on it for $27k (might be 104,000 miles however, but still less k's than the white one)

Haha ..."Gannetboy" is a nickname given to me by my workmates.... due to the fact that whenever there is free food going at work (morning tea shouts, Friday pizza etc) I'm always first to the food and last to leave. I've never actually swallowed a fish whole, but with the way I inhale mini sandwiches I probably could! Anyway, back on topic!

Patience to do things properly.... If you have no patience when modding, your car becomes one we all have a giggle at in the Trademe discussions sub-forum. Patience my grasshopper... patience.

I have had Telecom broadband for a while now... finally got so sick of the crap speeds and high prices that I have changed to Xnet. I was getting 10 gigs of bandwidth for $59.95 on Telecom.... now for the same price at Xnet I get 25 gigs! Haven't tested out the speeds yet as I only switched last night, but my brother uses Xnet and says it's magic: Fast all the time even during peak hours. I personally can't wait for ADSL2 and the unbundling of Telecom's network.

Don't underestimate the Hartge badge.... it adds at least 150hp over stock.

Save up and buy the real thing, you must be close to M3 money if you can afford buy the damaged one. Also, if you get the real thing; if you keep it long enough it will start appreciating in value (like E30 M3's are now)

Are the majority of car sellers on trademe dreamers??
Mark replied to Avenged.SSE's topic in TradeMe discussions
There are many dreamers on Trademe.... and a few may sell their cars to naive buyers who don't know the market value of a particular model. The good thing though (as JJS said) is that if the price is too high, the car will sit on the site forever causing the seller to reduce the price and keep reducing it until it coincides with the market value and somebody then buys it. I also love the people who misrepresent their cars thinking they know everything about it (i.e the 323i with ACS replica wheels and a grille badge, which the owner claims is "a genuine AC Schnitzer car, not a replica). It's always laughable but that's all you can do.... have a laugh then keep trawling the listings looking for a bargain. -
Cap on... tight. You're just sucking more air in if you have it off.... Glad to be of help, let us know how you get on.
