Use a program called "iPodCopy". A guy at work had this exact same problem (His computer with itunes blew up and he wanted to copy all his music to his new PC) If you know the ways of the internets you get this program for "cheap". Also, I asked him just now if it copies playlists etc and he said it does. Good luck!

Sweet tunes... I'd be interested in hearing about your bands gear setup as I'm looking at getting a ProTools rig/MIDI controller and writing some stuff of my own.
-
There's a reason he has this listed as a classified and not an auction: The questions from bimmersport members would be numerous!! And M3 cams in a 1.8 four banger? How does that work??!!
-
Yeah centrecaps are blank.... they just had a metal sticker on them.
-
Bump.... Make me an offer! I need this gone from my garage!

Once again, thanks for all the positive comments... it's awesome to hear I'm getting it right! Just a small update today. It came to me last night that I could make my poor-man's ACS wheels look a bit more authentic by removing the BMW emblems from the centrecaps. So this morning I busted out the adhesive remover and dental floss and got to work. My camera ran out of battery, but I photoshopped a before/after so you can see the difference. IMO the wheels not only look cleaner but bigger too! A worthwhile mod and done in just 10 minutes. BEFORE: AFTER:

He's a funny prick eh! Certainly not the kind of person I want to be, but sh*t.... the man has no shame and he gets a lot of women so he must be doing something right!

Where are all these 14k 330i Motorsports??? Hook me up! Seriously though: You should be able to find a nice 323i or 325i in manual. Just be patient.

Take a look under the bonnet, an engine tuned by Racing Dynamics should have a Racing Dynamics cam cover. (Much like Dinan tuned cars etc). If you have a chance to buy it, snap it up.... Racing Dynamics parts are hard to come by!

They're in the phone book..... they're a panelbeaters so I'm sure they can mix up a car's worth of paint for you.

Andrews and Gilmore mixed me up a can of touchup paint for my car. They specialise in BMW repairs, give them a ring.

I have a brand new replica E36 M3 front bumper for sale. Made of high-quality plastic not fibreglass, and comes complete with mouldings, plate holder and lip spoiler. I originally bought this for my car but then decided to go with a front lip spoiler for my stock bumper instead. I have tried selling on Trademe twice, but both sales fell through thanks to two tyre-kicking idiots who dicked me around when it came to payment and shipping costs. Excuse the capital letters but: I WILL NOT SHIP THIS ITEM. This item is pickup only. This bumper owes me $435, but if you can take it out of my garage ASAP I will let you have it for $325. Can't get fairer than that. If you have questions ask here, or if you want it fire me a PM. Cheers, Mark.

Haha OK, totally different story then! Those plastic strips are known as mouldings. I suggest you replace the stock door mouldings with the m-tech variant (see my sig) they look a lot cleaner and update the look of the E36. Once you've done that, you can paint all the mouldings, it shouldn't cost more than 300 dollars for the front, back and doors. Good luck, I think it will make your car stand out! EDIT: You say they're 40mm wide, so that means you prob already have the m-tech door mouldings! Whoops.

Crazy? Yes. Dumb? No. Read it and weep doubters!!! (with pics too) Removing gray from sideskirts
-
I've read this on another forum, so don't quote me on it... but apparently the gray on your bumpers/sills is actually a protectant that is sprayed over the original paint finish. This means that under that there is perfectly nice blue paint. Do a google search to look up the method for removing it. It may take a while but hey, your time is free compared to having it professionally painted at cost of $500-$1000.

Cheers, unfortunately I am a brand whore. EDIT: Saw the car again this morning.... didn't have a pen to write the owner a note though! Dammit!

Check your fusebox, it could be that the fuse for your auxillary fan has blown. I had similar symptoms to you and that turned out to be the problem.

UPDATE: Car serviced today. Along with a new battery as the (can you believe it) genuine BMW battery finally gave up the ghost, it was at least 7 years old! So, money is tight at the moment (battery was 200 bucks) which means plans for the car have ground to a halt for now. M-Mirrors and ACS parts still in the works, will keep you posted!

So a rebuild is 3k.... what about replacing the box with a 2nd hand non-Jatco unit? How much would that sting you?
-
Then why would it only happen from 1st to second? Surely if bits are floating around in there, all the gear changes would suffer?
-
I have a Jatco box and tried the method Yuen suggested which was to disconnect then reconnect the battery. It didn't work.... still have a jerky 1st to 2nd change. I'll try the accelerator trick tonight to see if it works. I've never heard of it before in all my research into this topic.... but I do know you can check for fault codes on OBD1 cars using a similar method, so perhaps it is true!
-
If that's the case it's a long way from home!
-
Outside temp sensor for OBC? As Yuen said... see if there's a part number on it.
