  1. Check this out guys, obviously it ain't real, but it looks as if it should be!
  2. Hey guys, I'd like to ask the approx. value of a car, if it's ok. 1985 BMW 320i 145km, sedan, manual, very straight body, nice paint, nice classy 17s, but, cracked dashboard. Good condition overall. How much is it worth roughly? And how are they on fuel? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
  3. Check this one out guys. Not overly convinced about the orange, I would have chosen a dark grey. But WHOAH

    Fair enough

Normally I keep out of threads like this, as I usually think "to each their own", but things need explaining. What sort of car enthusiast are you if you can't appreciate something for what it can do? Being one-eyed and cynical to something that just happens to not have a BMW badge on it is just stupid if you ask me. I've owned 4 cars now. 2 Subarus, 1 Honda, and 1 BMW. I bought the Honda directly after the BMW. E36 325i I had. It had problems getting up hills because of the bloody auto and shocking low down torque, so you had to put your foot down everywhere to get anywhere, so goodbye fuel. Then, stepping into the Honda I was amazed! 1.8 N/A "torqueless" engine, yet I can pull 50kmh in 5th gear and get up hills without even trying. Maybe there was a lesson there? Light weight + good gear ratios + well designed engine that can take 8000rpm all day every day without using any fuel at all, and be perfectly daily usable. Quicker than the sum of its parts. Don't get me wrong guys, I'm part of the anti-chromes/tail lights/15yo gf/sacked bro group, as they turn what is a nimble reliable car into something that looks like sh*t. Remember, 318s can't escape from this either. How many vaults and shitty clear tail lights with ridiculous lowering? If anything, it's worse because it's supposed to be a 'classy' euro. I just want someone with a decent Honda to take one of you guys for a spin. Something like this which is essentially standard. Just headers, intake, exhaust, and maybe a K pro. K20 EG Fair enough, if you want class, a Honda isn't the way to go. But there's needless bagging going around, most of which they don't deserve. /takes off Honda hat
  5. My old '92 E36 325i used to do 14.2 litres per 100km, city driving, 80% easy, 20% a bit of a blat. And I used ALL 60 Litres (420km)
  6. I'm thinking the only one of those cars that is legitimately matte black is that Tunero F430, the rest probably have that film. Still hot though
  7. Haha, I thought that too, but it's just a link for "things you're selling"
  8. For those of you that enjoy the old BTCC racing, which is much closer than anything you'd find today, here's a link to an old race. About 60mb There's some great footage of an E30 M3 attacking a Holden http://www.focus-f1.com/alex/BTCC-1988-Bra...tch-Round-8.avi Save link as Will post more later
  9. Looks like a nice car and all, but isn't it a waste doing burnout after burnout after burnout etc.. maybe that's just me
  10. Unfortunately it was just a 525, but it looked so damn tough I'd sell my soul for it. Nick021, do you have a link for the trademe auction?
  11. As there's a lack of entertaining threads lately (I'm a lurker), I thought I'd post up a few pics of a really nice E34 I drove past the other day. Sorry about the quality, camera phone ftl. Enjoy
  12. Dear god, those are some crazy deals. Take trade ins?
  13. Right front door handle - gray (if possible) Air conditioning panel in interior.. I'm sure you know what I mean. Maybe more later, but those are a priority. Cheers
  14. Anyone on here selling a set by any chance? I was considering smoking them, but then I run the risk of looking a bit.. well.. rangi

    BMW E36 325i

Hey guys, it's time to sell the car and get something manual again. I'm too young to grow up haha. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=113322962 Some of you may remember me complaining about a misfiring problem. A new set of spark plugs and a vacuum hose and it's gone. Any questions please ask.
  16. It's COMPLETELY empty on 420km. As in I ran out of fuel at the intersection in peak hour haha. Damn those accurate fuel gauges. Well my car has 18 inch rims and 226000km, and a slight misfire so I guess that does contribute to it being thirsty. So what would you guys recommend I do to it in order to get better fuel economy. It's a sad thing when you throw in $20 and the next day it's gone
  17. Where would I check for fault codes? BMW Dealer? They'd sting for costs though! Would it be beneficial to run any additives like injector cleaners through it? I'd only bother changing the fuel filters etc. if I knew it was going to have a big effect on economy. Cheers
  18. Hey guys, new here. I own a '92 E36 325i, quite a nice thing it is too. I've owned it for 2 weeks, and deemed it would be a worthy replacement for my fuel guzzling Legacy. Oh boy was I wrong!! 420km from a 60 litre tank of 98 octane is enough to make a grown man cry.. and in my case as a poor student question driving altogether! Is this economy abnormal? Or is it to be expected? Is there anything I can do to get more km out of it, besides for driving slower which I've already tried - still shocking economy. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers
