  1. Hey guys, just a quick question. Will a manual conversion for an E34 525i (1990, so m20b25) fit an E30 325i? They're both the same engine, so I assume that it will, but I'd obviously want it to be confirmed first. There are a few G240 gearboxes around, but I want to do it properly first time around, so a G260 will be suitable. Thanks!

    BDO 2010

I saw Muse live last BDO and they were fantastic. They sound amazingly good live. Can't wait to see them, Dizzee Rascal, Groove Armada, Mars Volta, Calvin Harris, and Eskimo Joe. Awesome line up!
  3. When I rock up at the intersection, I usually turn the radio down for some reason. Then again, my last 3 cars haven't had stereos, so it's not something I've had to deal with for a while Sometimes, when I'm by myself on the road, I try and rev-match when I'm downshifting, just for shits and giggles. Other than that, I'm usually just hitting various sections of my interior to stop a new-found squeek or rattle. Damn Honduhs, then again I'm sure you E30 boys can attest to that
  4. These own on hillclimbs, but I can't see how this thing would have much top end puff with only a small VF10. Put it this way, I wouldn't want to crash one after seeing one roll at the last hillclimb event. Lucky it had a rollcage!
  5. I've got it. My first car was a BMW (naturally) 135i. I like the way you upgrade your cockpits, and just the general look of the cars. The physics, after all the hype, is a huge disappointment. The cars feel as if they rotate around a central axis, rather than being connected to the road through all four wheels. The way the game handles inertia isn't quite right either. You can make up your own minds. Maybe I'll go back to playing GTR Evolution and rFactor
  6. Wow. That's nice! Roughly what fuel economy do these get?
  7. At uni it's pretty hard to wash a car.. so maybe once every 2 months or so? Haha. Where are good wash bays in Hamilton?
  8. I like it. Obviously minus mags. If you think about it, it's quite well priced too. Sell the rims + engine if you're so inclined, and you have a VERY tidy and properly painted shell ready for an M50, SR20, or what have you. Paint and panel sure isn't cheap!
  9. Need a manager of some kind, urgently. Our interview fell through, so we need someone by tonight preferably. For my management paper at Waikato Uni we have to interview a manager, with a range of different questions about their role and all that. We can either interview them in person, or I can email a list of questions that you can answer. It's completely confidential Any help would be much appreciated Cheers
  10. There was a blue one of these at the Hamilton Car Club hillclimb yesterday.. sounded awesome.
  11. How much would those bags and rims be worth if you took them out? Surely it'd be worth it. Then again who knows the condition of the rest of the car if the owner is stupid enough to do all that to a poor E30 That supercharged 13b E30 is strangely cool, minus the rims. Never thought I'd say that.
  12. Haha don't worry Emily I still shake my head when walking past your car How's the dechroming mission going? I might be able to organise some shady looking Polys if you need those wheels taken care of... Insurance? Haha.
  13. Because of the sump gaurd, extra rust proofing (I think), and long range fuel tank. Plus, it'd be good to have a taste of home here. SA, not Japan Has to be facelift! I just missed out on that SA import 325i with 146km and leather for $4500, so thats about the limit at the moment, being a poor student. Believe me, I check trademe and here every day. Cheers
  14. As per title, I've been after one of these for a while. My Integra is still for sale, but there's been a bit of interest, so I could offer a deposit to hold the car if needed. It'd be a bonus if it was an SA import. What have you?
  15. Hey! Hands off! As soon as the Honda sells this is mine .. Hopefully
  16. From the last time it was for sale. It had much better pictures last time. Wonder if it's still got the ghastly clear tail lights!
  17. Ahhh, I was so interested in this when it was first for sale. It's got quite a few nice bits, and some tasty extractors.
  18. I just read through this entire thread. Very good read. It's good to see people are still thorough with their cars, using quality parts and sorting out the handling first. Props mate

    SA 325i

Mate that's a fantastic example of a classic. Good to see it's taken care of! I'm keeping my eyes out for one of these
  20. Goodnight sweet prince. It's funny how demand for an artist's work skyrockets directly after their death. It's to be expected though
  21. I love matt or satin black when it comes to exotics. I don't think anyone bar Tu Nero is mad enough to actually paint them matt or satin black, rather just a film that is easy enough to remove once the fad wears out For anyone that is interested in that bike, it was created by a German custom shop by the name of Walz Hardcore Cycles. In fact, I'm pretty sure that that bike in question was made for Kimi Raikkonen! I love it, and I'm not usually a fan of chopper style bikes Walz Hardcore Cycles
  22. I don't post often, but I lurk here every day, so I do consider myself a slight local Anyway, I'm in Tauranga, and essentially, I need someone to test drive this car to make sure it's a good buy, as study at uni doesn't leave me with that much spare time and/or cash to fly down to check it out. E30 325i That is, if it's not too much trouble of course. Any help would be appreciated! Cheers
  23. Ohh, which one to choose from? Haha. My first Legacy GT, which was my first car, was bought off a dodgy Indian guy who lied through his teeth about the car. It was given a dodgy wof, and when I took it to get a legitimate wof, the "to do" list went on for the entire page! Major parts too.. ball joints, suspension arms etc. Not something that can be attributed to my 3 months of easy driving. So a lot of cursing later, everything was was fitted and I got a new wof for it. After that it was a wonderful car, and I experienced the events that can only happen with your first car. Instead of it leaving a sour taste in my mouth, I bought another Legacy GT 3 cars later! Only real problems had with other cars was ANOTHER Indian guy getting a dodgy wof for my old integra, as it had no working horn and a couple of other things. Anything for a sale hey?
  24. Hillcrest (Waikato Uni)
  25. Well, not to mention that was in 1993 dollars. With inflation over the years, you're potentially getting a $300,000+ car for under $6000. Go NZ
