    Wonky sunroof

If its the same as an electric, see the attached link. You need to remove the lower panel and then there are torx screws that fix that top panel to the frame. Take care when disconnecting the two little links that go back inside the roof. They are held on with a tiny slip-on type clip which can no longer be bought as a new part. A screwdriver with a flex joint and a torx tip is would be very helpful. http://www.r3vlimited.com/headliner.pdf
  11. Must be in good working order please.
  12. assorted trims from E30 doors, some FL some PFL, let me know what you are after $5 for one window sill outer seal or make an offer for lot. Some are very good, others have old black spray paint at the ends. Sorry about crap pic will improve later.
  13. I have a AFM from a PFL e30 that iam selling among some other parts. Does anyone know the test proceedure for these? I imagine it would be useful for other m10 drivers. Following one suggestion I have connected a Voltmeter set to ohms to the two right most contacts and the readings rise as the flap opens until halfway then drop again to 0 when fully open. OK or poked?
  14. In a pub quiz the other day I lost by one point. The question was where do women mostly have curly hair? Apparently, it's Africa I've heard that Apple have scrapped their plans for the new children's iPod after realizing that iTouch Kids is not a good product name. There's a new Muslim clothing shop opened in Toronto but I've been banned from it after asking to look at some bomber jackets. You can say lots of bad things about pedophiles but at least they drive slowly past schools A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache" Just put a deposit down on a brand new Porsche & mentioned it on FaceBook. I said "I can't wait for the new 911 to arrive !" Next thing I know 4000 Muslims have added me as a friend !! Being a modest man, when I checked into my hotel on a recent trip, I said to the blonde at the registration desk .... "I hope the porn channel in my room is disabled." To which she replied, "No, it's regular porn, you sick bastard." The red cross have just knocked at our door and ask if we could help towards the floods in Pakistan, I said we would love to, but our hose only reaches to the bottom of the garden
  15. Thats why i go to a good indepedant BMW garage for my E30 WOF'S, no pedantic old ex tugboat captains strutting around in white overalls....tsk tsk
  16. I know you want a full set but i have a set of 3, the front passenger door strip is bent and no good. $40 the lot. can drop in Ham this Friday.
  17. Another one i have heard is that changing to the new gas will swell the O-rings and required these to be replaced. Anyone know if this is fact or fiction?
  18. Thanks guys, i bought the orbital cos i also wanted a 180mm disc sander. Will try the finer compound this time. Speed wise does a medium speed work any different to faster?
  19. I have had some blue overspray droplets on the clear coat of a red car I bought a while ago and decided to clean then off. Used some very fine wet and dry to take off the droplets which worked really well leaving only very faint sanding marks, then bought a good quality orbital buffer from super cheep plus some medium and fine cutting compound and had a crack. first mistake was applying the cream to the pad and turning on the buffer while not in contact with car. second mistake was getting too close to some windsreen seals and trims with buffer. Finally got all panels done and its looking great all over until i park it in the sun when i see long siwrl tracks are now everwhere. Worst are the side panels. Now wondering how much clear coat i have left and whether to use medium cutting cream to try buff-out the swirl marks or use the finer one. ??? Some tips from an experieced detailer whould be appreciated.
  20. That link is for a Left hand drive car i think so you are looking at the right relay, the big one under the speaker. Take the cover off it and there is a soldered link on one corner. Like two little verticals soldered together. One is under tension so when that blows the two separate. If that is blown fix or replace. Check any swapped units first. If it keeps blowing you have a problem elsewhere. Check that pin plug in your door jamb too, can be tricky to unplug. If fiddling with the pin plug is generating some action in that relay sounds like your plug is dirty or defective. I found the best way was to grap the tab in the centre of the plug with pliers, release to two side tabs then carefully pull it out. The little pins in there get all coroded etc. I would also be looking at your actual lock, There are some easy links to find for "E30 door lock repair" showing how the lock comes out and how the dealock mechanism works. Were you unable to open the drivers door with key? Does the ley turn or what?
  21. Check fuse for locks, check the central locking relay (one from footwell) fusable link is intact. Did you see this link? http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.p...ocking_problems A piece may have broken off your lockset, it would pay to remove that and check. Even if power is out you should be able to manually unlock the door with the key.
