  1. A decent paintshop is the place to go, for a decent (read good job) cut and polish expect to pay $300+.I got my partners MX5 done when the front got painted for stonechips etc. TBH, I've never (and will never) use a orbital polisher, Unless you REALLY no what your doing you will do more bad than good. And clearly if its swirly they didn't no what they were doing, at all. It is hard to beat the old method of polishing by hand if you ask me.
  2. Interior will be far inferior to your E39,But in terms of a being a ute they are good to drive well and have plenty of power. I can recomend Wanganui Motors (Ford Dealer), Brought my ST220 there and there bloody good to deal with. The man you want to talk to is Steve, Is very helpfull and always happy to give advice on prices etc - give him a call do get a feel for the costs. He can often get cars that arn't for sale on a yard/trademe.He has one hell of a database. I think you can expect to get an earilier model, 03/04 for around 20k.But yea for whatever reason there isn't many on TM that arn't yellow. Another option is the VY Commodore ute, 5.7 V8, and most of them are manual. You would get one of them for about the same money as the XR6 Turbo.
  3. +1, Even if its a bit more expensive, its a great drive!
  4. Arh those 17's are epic fail! Bmw Blasphemy
  5. Trademe (Buy/sell stuff) Asb Bank (Banking) Metservice (Weather) Millerwelds.com (Work) Bimmersport Vodafone (Email) 1day (Cheap Deals) Grabaseat (Cheap flights) Surf.co.nz (Surf Report) stdrivers.co.uk (Ford Forum) Tab (Bet on my 2 Greyhounds Stuff (News) Jalopnik (Car News) I think thats about it

  7. I wonder how long it will take for electric cars to take off?Fair enough they are still expensive and the infrastrusture isn't quite in place but its a very interesting concept.I've been following the news on it for some time now. Tesla have built one and Mecedes Benz have recently brought 10% of Tesla. They wouldn't have done that for no reason. Website makes for very interesting reading if you are into technology etc. Family member has 407 Diesel and it is a very nice car to drive.Well speced
  8. PM Brian, COSMOS, He is very good with the above types of things, Has helped me alot of late.
  9. I often browse Jalopnik its a good automotive site with all the latest automotive news etc Thought this would be of interest My favorite shape out of the all is the E34.Which is strange as I tend to like more modern cars/shapes.E34 really is a classic looking shape
  10. No worries man, hope you get it all sorted. I would take it in sooner rather than later, the rates there are very fair from memory
  11. Looks really good, +1 on the black

    1996 BMW 323i

Great Car, And good score with those K's
  13. "This vehicle was imported from singapore but has had all problems fixed and is running well. all repairs have been carried out by BMW agents" No thanks. But agree they are a cheap car for what you get
  14. If you don't want to use the dealer I respectfully suggest you go to Peter Beck Auto Services - Link He is an absolute expert with european cars, espcially BMW's. I had my cars serviced there when I lived in PN. Great guy and very helpfull.
  15. Can I ask who your mechanic is?(I lived in PN most my life, Fathers a diesel mechanic)

    FS: E36 320i

Sold mine at the start of last year which was exactly the same as yours for $5500 done 150,000k's and a 98 model, same options/colour/wheels.Could have got more but wanted a quick sale to buy another car The price has reallt dropped out of E36's. Good luck with the sale
  18. That E36 would be so nice without the wing,Liking the idea of a light inner colour/polished lip.
  19. 2008 Mazda BT-50, Use one for work when I need to go on sites etc -Great Value for Money -Great off Road -Well speced for a ute -Nice to drive, good seat position and very nice seats. -Tows well -Done 100,000 in it and only serviced it etc, No problems at all. -Gets 600+ k's to a tank on average Boss has a Navara STX which is also a great ute, Very nice to drive. Can't stand the Tritons to look at, And I think the Hilux has a higher price tag attached to it beacause Hiluxs have been a great ute for 20+years.However the other brands have now caught up (possibly passed them in terms of quality) and I don't think for the premium price you get a better ute. BT's and Rangers are very very similar. The Mazdas tend to be a tad cheaper, But in my veiw just as good and better looking. Out of all you have listed I don't think theres a bad one, Just varying degrees of good.
  20. Add to list - straighten rego. Should be a good project, Bags are a good safe legal way to go low.
