Hey guys, just after some help/ options on what clutch and flywheel combo to go for in my project. I had decided on going for the JB Racing lightened flywheel as it would really liven the engine up and match it with and a performance organic spring hub clutch, http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1339-e39-540i-97-03-jb-racing-lightweight-aluminum-flywheel.aspx http://store.uucmotorwerks.com/performance-organic-clutch-kit-for-96-03-e39-m5-and-540i-540i-696-production-and-later-p390.aspx but with the dollar the way it is currently and shipping being outrageous, (approx 3k NZD landed) i was wondering if any other recommendations would be suitable. thanks in advance.

Very similar to mine but different outcomes are planned. Nice work, looks like the Touring is in the right hands, look forward to its progress.

Got the front end mostly finished for now, will come back to the brakes. XYZ suspension setup and installed as well as some new Nolathane sway bar bushes and links. Also purchased my steering shaft parts from Summit Racing, all Flaming River products, had to cut to length and drill the shaft, very happy with how it turned out. Rolled it out for some sun today.

In my opinion nothing beats the e30 recaro sport seats. They look period correct and support you enough for a bit of spirited back road driving.

To keep moving forward iv started on the front end now, currently all stripped out. I'm trying my best to keep things of a high standard by doing things once and doing them right, which will reflect in the overall finished product. I spent some time and cleaned up the front subframe iv purchased a Z3 steering rack from HELLBM so should get the steering feeling pretty responsive. Decided to keep things fresh and ordered some new parts, along with some Hardrace lower control arm bushes, also from Evan at Speedfactor, these will hopefully be similar to offset control arm bushes i have run in the past, but are much smaller, allowing some more room for my exhaust and headers, so this should keep me busy for a few weeks To get the car nice and low, and seeing results others have achieved with coilovers, i contacted Evan from Speedfactor in Tauranga to take care of this, with spring rates sorted, these arrived this week! To pull the beast up I'm hoping to keep this pretty standard, so purchased some slotted rotors to do the job Next up to complete the front end i need to sort a custom steering linkage consisting of some U joints and some 3/4" double d shaft, again creating room for the tight squeeze headers.
