After a lengthy wait some more parts have arrived for the V8 Touring from Ergen Motorsport in the UK, some stainless RHD headers, made to fit for this application so no worrying about any custom work or fabrication. Straight bolt on! Along with an in car brake booster relocation kit that is the custom bracket and miniature booster unit, with a 23mm master cylinder that eliminates the booster from the engine bay and rotates it 90 degrees to sit in the glovebox location.

i used 3/4 inch DD shaft and got the correct U joints that fit the e30 spline and the z3 rack spline. Ergen Motorsport in the UK do a plug and play bolt in brake booster relocation kit with a small servo and master cylinder to suit.

Still so bloody tidy, credit to your ownership man. Loving that tech2 wheel also!

cheers for the good feedback guys, plenty to think and talk about, not in any rush atm so want to get this sorted so its done right the first time. At this stage it seems a good idea to stay away from what i was originally going to go with.

Have texted you, but no reply

Yeah i saw that, could be an option, wonder what the performance difference would be like between that and something lighter.

Hey guys, just after some help/ options on what clutch and flywheel combo to go for in my project. I had decided on going for the JB Racing lightened flywheel as it would really liven the engine up and match it with and a performance organic spring hub clutch, http://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-1339-e39-540i-97-03-jb-racing-lightweight-aluminum-flywheel.aspx http://store.uucmotorwerks.com/performance-organic-clutch-kit-for-96-03-e39-m5-and-540i-540i-696-production-and-later-p390.aspx but with the dollar the way it is currently and shipping being outrageous, (approx 3k NZD landed) i was wondering if any other recommendations would be suitable. thanks in advance.

Very similar to mine but different outcomes are planned. Nice work, looks like the Touring is in the right hands, look forward to its progress.

Got the front end mostly finished for now, will come back to the brakes. XYZ suspension setup and installed as well as some new Nolathane sway bar bushes and links. Also purchased my steering shaft parts from Summit Racing, all Flaming River products, had to cut to length and drill the shaft, very happy with how it turned out. Rolled it out for some sun today.
