Well heres my new E36, glad to have finally found one that matched my criteria. Have so far debadged the boot, taken the shelly bmw sticker off..., added lip spoiler, and am waiting on eyelids and 'M' badge for the boot, will be picking up halo rings this week and putting them in, getting tints done wednesday if all goes to plan, and picked up a set of H&R race springs this arvo (thanks to keith - suspension progress ltd), will then be making a final decision on what wheels to put on it and then adding stainless tips to the exhaust (mayb..), once thats all done Ill be on the hunt for a m3 front bumper lip and mesh insert, and carbon fibre bonnet and boot badges. Sounds will be infinity kappa perfects, running the standard tweeters in the doors, with earthquake or soundstream rears all through a JBL amp. Sub will come in the near future but cant be bothered with one at this point in time, I'll be keeping the factory bmw head unit with the stacker in the boot and running a equaliser through it which will be hidden away, this way ill be able to run rca cables from that to power the amp and fine tune the sound =P. And then just fine touches such as pulling out the rear parcel tray and re colouring it black instead of the faded purple... Any comments or ideas please dont be shy to let me know. Ill keep the thread updated as i do each stage

Hey Guys, A year and a half ago i was a member with the gun metal grey 325ci (ex-f4llan car). After selling that I have been looking around for the right E36 to get back into and have finally found the one. I've purchased a 1998 328i Coupe Factory Motorsport, Black Leather, Boston Green Stock Standard, 67000kms on the clock. Got it for a nice price so will be doing a few changes. I have ordered a Rear Lip Spoiler and eye lids for it, and will be ordering Halo Rings to place over the original head lights, a black front bumper bottom lip, Tints, Manual conversion, lowering set up and most likely a set of AC3 18 Rims". Feels good to finally be back out of a silvia and into a bimmer have added more of an album and will update it as i progress under the showroom section.

Hey guys, Thought i might do a bit of bed time story telling... When i had my E36 coupe i had a pioneer 6000series head unit, 2x6"infinity components in the front running along sie the standard bmw in-door speakers, 2x4.5" earthquake 2way rear speakers mounted in the original bmw bass reflex boxes, 2xAlpine TypeR 12"subs each with alpine V12 monoblock amps, all internal speakers for aso amped off a lazar 4 channel amp, capacitor and with all new wiring right through to get a bit more power to the speakers. It bloody cranked but ive since sold the car without all the sound gear and have fitted most of it into my S15 Silvia and was pissed off with the sound i got. especially with having infinity gear in the front which is so called the best for clear sound. I did away with the pioneer head deck just recently (cost me $650) when i brought it and actually put the nakamuchi md/aux head unit back in. Its got 3 sets of pre outs and a nice simple bass/mid/treb control to cut out all the un-needed sh*t. It straight away sounded like 100% better but im still not satisfied. This is due to the fact that my work car (new shape toyota corolla) seems to satisfy me more with its two front speakers running with door mounted tweeters... it sounds clear and complete. Ive also finally found myself a e30 project after long hunting around and i found it down in christchurch where ive been working for the past 2 weeks. the rear speakers when i brought it were absolutely shot and the fronts didnt even work at all. the head unit was an old philips tape deck etc and i cant have no stereo for my trip back to auckland so i went down to repco and brought the cheapest sony cd player with an aux in for my ipod ($153) and then the guy there had a look for me to find some cheap 6"'s for the rear but seen as theyre an old size the only thing he could really find were a set of 6.5" 3-way 360W 'PYLE' branded speakers. they werent on the shelf so he pulled them from out back and i tried one in the rear parcel tray and it fitted in nicely. So i brought a set of them for $26!!!!to get me back to auckland and id put some of my left over E36 sounds in it for better sound.. I got home and installed them and the next night went back down to repco and brought another 3 boxes of them. put another set in the front of it and another 2 sets to take back to auckland for the silvia... for $26 they impressed me so much that im taking the infinity and earthquake speakers out and even the alpine rear sub gear and am just going to have $50 worth of speakers running in it. Imagine how good they will sound if i amp them! maybe my ears are playing tricks on me.. i dont know but i showed the guys at work this evening and they were all blowen away aswell, one of them is even getting one set for his girlfriends car. Theres a bit of a story there but its sort of shocked me a bit much to not mention on here for people looking at investing in sounds..... TWENTY SIX BUCKS!!!!!! crazy...

thanks heaps for that guys, this would have to be the best forum for gettting help and input on things. seen as im on the other side of the fence aswel with the sivlia, im a member of the nz silvia forums and i swear theyre a different class of people... thats all i need to say lol. We're still just sussing out what exactly it is, whether its the wheel bearing or just a bushing in the steering set up. Its looking like it could just be a bushing which is definalty a lot cheaper by the sounds of things! but ill double check it all out to make sure there isnt a buggered bearing that could collapse on the way back from christchurch (where i brought the car). cheers guys. Jase

that sounds like a good buy mate, i actually looked at buying that car around nov last year when i brought my gunmetal e36 coupe, it was a toss-up between that one, the gun metal one and the black 007bmw e36 which is now F4LLEN. He was asking a bit more at that time however so i decided against it. very tidy car however so hope you enjoy it! very nice.

Just seeing if anyone has put a new front wheel bearing in an e30 and how difficult it is to do it yourself and aprox how much time would you allow to do it? thanks again, Jase

Hey everyone, ive just brought a 87 E30 320i sedan for something to keep me entertained in my spare time so one of the first things im keen to hunt around for is to see if i can get my hands on i think... they are a M tech body kit. ive seen a few e30's around with the nice OEM kits on them that earth that rear end a little bit with the rear side skirts (may even be a complete rear bumper setup im not too familiar. also the side skirts. Only interested in OEM pieces. Im not into all these after market sh*t that are around these days. If anyone could help in some advice or pointing me in the right direction, that wuld be great! Thanks guys, Jase

just got back on the forums for the first time in a while since ive sold my car and noticed yours, absolutely stunning mate. looks like youve put some serious time into perfecting it and its certainly paid off! ie never really been a fan of e36's with the non m-spec front bumper etc on them but that looks like sex on wheels if you ask me. Good luck with further add ons mate! Jase

Hey Guys, The beama is now sold ((((((( but sold it on the M3 Evo rims so now need to sell the Koya's. If anyone is interested, feel free to drop me a text or call. They are 19" Koya R1's with Good Year Eagle F1 tyres (225/35/R19) Also come with a brand new set of lugs. The wheels are not even 2 months old. tread is still like brand new, so are rims. The only imperfection on them is on the inside of two of the tyres there is a slight wear mark where they were rubbing on the adjustable strut. Does not affect the performance of the tyres at all. If you want to have a look or a test fit etc thats not a problem. im wanting around $2900 ono as i paid $3849 for the lot not even 2 months ago and did next to no millage on them. Call or Txt Jason on: 0211673313 or 0274648671
