  1. For the money he is asking you could buy a 325i. It's worth 1500 - 1800.
  2. Slow lap but awesome car control - wonder if the E30 can do that?
  3. Agree with most of you. My 2001 NZ new 530i has now done 255,000 kays. The first owner did 240 in the first 6 years. I have replaced the radiator and brake pads etc but you know what - it drives brilliantly and is in superb condition. Sadly it is on the market (see TM) because we don't need it anymore but if i had a choice i'd keep it. Likewise my E34M5 has now done 242,000 kays (bought 8 years ago at 207) and has been one of the most reliable cars i have ever owned. So, don't let highish kays put you off - buy on condition and you can't go wrong. My 2c worth.

    E28 Race car.

Magic David. What brakes are you going to use - that old girl will take some stopping? What is target date for first race? Don't tell Shuey you are running a six cylinder engine -
  6. You missed a bargin there. What a price for a great car. Maybe mine isn't worth as much as i think - guess i'll let the market do that
  7. No problems with high kays. I have a NZ new 2001 facelift 530i that has 250,000 kays on it. Have done front pads, ABS computer and radiator/expansion tank plus a trans service. The car runs like a clock and is still as tight as. The first owner did 240 kays in 6 years between Kerikeri and Auckland/Rotorua so it was all long hot running. Will be listing it on TM soon as i want want something more suitable to tow the race car. It is still worth around $15K.
  8. Hi. I have one which you can have for $50.Bruce
  9. Yep - that was me at the driver training day in 06. Hope they are good photos??? There are quite a few E34M5s around, ex South Africa and UK with the odd one from Hong Kong/Singapore. I am shocked at the price being asked for Jocks car by the dealer in Rotorua. I think they are worth $20K - particularly if they have a full history. Only my opinion but they are such a special car and even after 8 years of ownership i still find it a blast to drive. My car is for sale because, with the race car taking up so much time, i just don't drive the M5 as much as it should be driven. I know you people on this forum appreciate them for what they are and if it went to one of you i would be really happy in the knowledge it was going to a good home. Sorry for the rant - must be the pure Northland air -
  10. You are right Yuen, there were only four 3.6 M5's brought in by BMW NZ. Jocks white one, my Macau Blue one, don't know where the third one is and the fourth car was tourist delivery. The 3.6 is the way to go as the 3.8 engine is a bit fragile.

    You can buy mine
  12. It is definately Jock's old car. He sold it to the proprieter of the Goodyear Tyre shop in Taupo. It is an excellent car in really good condition. I have driven this car and it goes like a rocket. I own the the sister car to it (in Macau Blue) with a similar mileage. If you can get it for under $20 grand then you will have an absolute bargin. Mine is for sale but the price is over $20k for it. Good luck.
  13. Happy Birthday Dave from the OWRCC!!!!
  14. I have a set of 4 bottle caps but they are in Whangarei. How urgent? Bruce 0275 335 330
  15. Hey Cain. Nice ride, better bring it up north for a shake down. Bruce
  16. Thats a bargin plus it is a face lift model as well. High K's won't hurt it, they will run to 400k with good servicing.
  17. Please give me second option if Mark doesn't buy it. Cheers Bruce 0275 335 330
  18. We get about 12L per 100k around town from an E39 530i facelift with 250,000 km on it. Interested? It is for sale but alas, it isn't a M'Sport.
  19. The times for the 3.6 E34 M5 are correct as road tested. Trust me. As for the car being average in the performance stakes - find me a comparable 18 year old car that performs like it. Yes the average new V8 Commatruck and Falcoon will see it off but at least my old girl feels like a real car. The engineering is incredible - 243kms and it runs really strong.

    What can I do?

JaredWhat about the payment i made to you on the 17th of December for the E30 steering rack part which i haven't received. I sent you an E-mail the other day asking you to either front with the part or send me back the $60. Either respond to this post within the next 2 days or you can expect a call from the law. Phone me on 0275 335 330 if you have any positive news.
