Porsches are purchased by emotion, the heart.. if that’s his dream good on him, lots of older guys want them and that’s why they are worth what they are in NZ, hey, it’s going to be quicker than a motor home and if he wants faster he might as well keep the motor home and sell the house! The brain says this: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-249599042.htm

x2. Strange post. Mate had a C36 and it was 210kw stock, dyno tested, was 276hp with 380nm, he had it chipped and it put out near 290hp and 400nm, that’s not bad, cornered well and was a really nice tourer, only problem with Mercedes AMG is that they are all Auto and are not designed to be M like. The C43 isn’t that great in comparison to an M-Car either, much faster in a straight line than the C36 but still slow by modern standards, a crummy HSV will crush it.

Lol. Yea it is, all E30's wuth 'check' systems doo it. Good report Ms BM, did you take it for a hoon?
-
What does it do? Any faster than the old one Should do a group buy.

Know how you feel mate, We purchased our E60 site unseen as we didn’t have time to view it so had it sent to BMW to check out, they missed body damage that cost me $1,200 to repair but picked up two small dents that would have cost $200 to have removed by the dent Magician, they also said the sunroof was faulty but worked fine for the six months we had it and they also noted the front control arm bushes were gone so I booked it in privately to have them replaced only to have the guy call me and tell me that they had been done already. Waist of $123.00, would send a car to Glenn for a honest (brutally) next time.

That would be the new GT3 Cup then different car again! So they will have, GT3, GT3-RS, GT3-Cup and GT3-R. Id have any of them please. GT3-Cup Waiting for GT3-Mug to come out.

The car this thread is about a Racing car that is a completely different kettle of chips mate. Your mate may have had a preview to the second generation 997 GT3, the 997 GT3-RS generation one went out of production a while back and second generation 997 GT3-RS will be out next year. They do make it confusing. 010 GT3-RS

None of those cars are the top performance models either and I guaranty if you went with the sports upgrade option you would end up with Michelin or Pirelli, those cars would run a different version in any case. As Jono says it’s a good tyre though, not the best performance tyre but looking at what its fitted to above it would be a great GT tyre.

Same formula that has won the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race the last four years, id struggle to see a better deal Henry, no one else has come up with anything close, not even BMW shock horror. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/24_Hours_N%C3%BCrburgring

Sorry, Black and Silver. Fiji Green wouldn’t work on a Coupe.
-
Meh slammed on the factory wheels painted black would look great… would stand out, heaps cooler than the 198,230 black ones on and off Aucklands roads. I would rock this as a work vehicle and throw some black signage on it.
-
Black on red looks so good, well done, I have been a fan of black wheels since ages ago and have sported them on lots of cars over the years. Big upside is they stay looking relatively clean, down side is they are not photogenic if you’re the posing type. Would love to see the DIY as mine have curb/track rash.

Nice car, welcome to Bimmersport. I have a friend who's car looks the same only its a 323i. I think its a Snitttzer kit.
-
No it does not, tint spray looks sh*t. They are available in America and the UK. I want some too!
-
All good take your sweet time, I have no ‘cash’ and my does not go.
-
Both would look alot better with a roof. Still my fave. You can keep the M3's for big bucks a humble touring is win (sory Glenn) for me
-
I know the car also. Join up Eurosport.org.nz if you need any help or advice, there are a couple of Fiat/Alfa nuts on there that can help out or point you to some who can.. Congratulations on the purchase, Alfa's are fun cars. In the same way E30 are fun cars. Take that how you will.

They may not die but mines seems to sleep a lot..

Yes I did. Couldn’t be bothered responding to something I had already posted. I may be arrogant but I get sick of people judging cars that are ancient on Kilometres alone, I have driven BMW’s that have done sub 100,000km that are as loose as a Tai prostitute, when a car is 20+ years old you can’t go off millage as an indication to condition, parts perish and seeze over time regardless of Millage. If it were a car that was only a few years old fair call.

This. All you can do is have a look, could be a minter with lots of receipts, could dog, hard to speculate from a picture, if it were tidy it would be worth 4k. The concerning buyer with 4K could look at what else with as much character? These discussions’ are all the same, speculation, it’s not a new car it 25 years old, if you want a new one for next to f**k all build a time machine and steal one then convert it into a time machine and warp back to the current day… actually If you had a time machine why the hell would you steal an E30?

This.

Don’t rally Toyota Starlets, or any Toyota’s they are clearly out of control! Does everyone in Findland have a rally car? No wonder they are good drivers. Evo at 1.55 was quite spectacular, my favourite.
-
That is a cool car, a M-kitted E39 is a manly BMW. Respect.
-
If it’s in good condition that is a fair price. Sure people get the odd car for the odd bargain but that doesn’t dictate market value. I would want to know what has been done recently, i.e. suspension bushes, shock, cam belt, water pump and as Cam sais make sure it has no rust. Best bet would be to get it on a hoist and have a good poke around. The SE skirts need to be un colour coded, makes the car look like a stretched T.

Love Fiji Geen, love the 318is. Its a bugger she swaped all the lights off it, might go have a look.
