Yip, have had the peddle box in for quite some time now I'm wanting to have some tall gears purely for economic/touring reasons hence my preference for the taller diffs, however, like you say having the luxury of testing out the different diffs would be fantastic. What's your engine Grant, 2.5L???
-
When will it happen...like all my projects they're just a pay packet away... I plan on having the box in by the end of september with the diff going in before I go down south although I may need to source a diff as I know there's two 3.45 diffs available that I can nab but I want something more along the lines of a 3.64 or 3.77
-
Yeah, there's nothing that you really need to do to that 328, it looks and goes sweet as and it'll only make your insurance somewhat more ridiculous if you go about playing with it.
-
Yip, that's with the 4.45 diff and auto box, currently it sits on 2900 rpm @ 100kph in 4th stage so when the manual box goes in i'm expecting that to jump to 3500+. I'll be keeping the 4.45 for at least a few weeks to have a play around
-
Just for you Gus I did a recheck of my gears today, I found a nice big hill to coast down... 50kph in 1st = 3900rpm in 2nd = 2400 rpm in 3rd = 1500 rpm And after ringing it out on the motorway... 1st gear does 80kph @ 6500rpm 2nd gear gets to 100kph @ 6700rpm

That site is very well constrcuted, and I don't mean web-wise, I mean argument-wise. Some has taken some serious time to research a few facts, good on em I say. I think one of the most valid points is that it's the quality of our roads that contribute the most danger to driving but that our government would rather put the blame somewhere else
-
I knew you'd do that *sic, what's wrong with a bit of camel toe???
-
Haha, yeah, my Izuzu had a better track record than my BMW
-
I don't think he got it Cilk

I can answer that one for you, YES, Hartage has a really cool 323 targa rally car aswell as that premo 328. [enthusiastic bordering on spastic]They're both really mean cars[/enthusiastic bordering on spastic] ps: Welcome to the site, may you find what you're looking for

Post some pics if you can. Are you sticking with the bimmers or moving on???

Good spotting there Matt, but you missed #32, all lesbians are hot
-
Nicely done Grant, fingers crossed you don't get shafted.

Wagon is averaging 3.3 at last look, I got that licked Sparkle and Blair have been whoring it up lately, go beat them with some reeds

if you have to ask youll never know...p.s. this is my three hundreth and twenty fifth post. cool... The fact that no one can actually answer my question, including those that replied with some useless cyclic rheotoric, only serves that you sheep merely follow someone elses opinion and can't actually answer a very simple question.I bet you're also the people who probably spelt your names wrong on school tests and were humiliated by the teacher after they were marked :gay: So again, what's wrong with seat covers, they serve a very practical purpose especially for smokers that smoke in their cars.

Need to get some rubber coverings for the clutch and brake pedals, anyone got any floating around they don't need???
-
Haha, that's all well and true, but are they running a 4.45 diff??? Ahh, I didn't think so.
-
WTF???Are you practicing to stand up against your woman???

RPM for the 4.45 and auto box in 1st is 4500 RPM @ ~40k 2nd is 4000 RPM @ ~60k 3rd is 4000 RPM @ ~80k 4th is 2950 RPM @ 100k It's hard to judge the RPM @ Kph for the gears because of the stupid torque converter which only locks out at 85kph in 4th stage and when decelerating, when it locks out the revs drops a good 500-1500 rpm so the only way to work it out the rpm:kph is to speed up then select a gear and decelerate and catch the kph as the rpm drops. Bear in mind the auto box has very long gears of which I can confirm that I can get to 85kph in 2nd gear.
-
I realise that it's there for the auto box, hence why i'm getting a different one for the manual, but not until I have a little fun with it first
-
Not too sure, kinda canvassing peoples interest in having one. My diff is labeled 4 45 7. Hartage said to me yesterday that non lsd's usually have a 5 as the last digit so I need to check it out first to confirm what it is exactly. A 4:45 diff is just plain stupid in the long term for practical use.

your car must be scum then dirty seat cover man Still doesn't answer the question

Hmm, I have a plan so cunning you could pin a tail on it and call it a weasel...
