    MP3'S

Headphones are like speakers in the hi-fi world, there's quite alot of good names and it comes down to price range really.Go to a hi-fi shop with your ipod and ask to borrow their headphones to listen off your ipod. Use your iPod since that's what you'll be using the most so that's what you want to test them with. Headphones are an indiviual choice with open and closed types and (un)amplfied units. I got some Sennheisers from that audio place above freedom furniture in Thorndon...can't remember the name of the place but they've got a few good brands - They have Sennheiser and Koss from memory plus other ones way out of my league. Don't go to that hifi audio place in the cbd, forgot the name, they're way over priced.

    Gaargh!

Don't go to Shelly's, they'll charge you $285 for a new master cylinder, if you can't find a spare then try the big names like sd euro, europarts etc...

    MP3'S

When I was a student and poor I was the king of piracy, I even forged documents and vouchers to survive...haha, I think I personally ruined it for everyone at the Outback in H-town, but circumstances always have precedence. These days the piracy is contained to the porn as the conscience sets in and the reality is pirated stuff really doesn't cut the quality mustard. I mean, what's the point in having hi-fi headphones (Sennheiser rocks!) if you're only going to listen to a crap rip??????? We all rip everything at max quality here at work and leave it on our file server, something close to 40GBs of mp3's now, but they're all ligit as we can produce a CD for every single one of them...I wreckon this kind of sharing is aye okay although i've quit my job and start a new one in the CBD soon so there's a headache...don't think i'll bother deleting any...

Mike, there's a BNT in Lower Hutt on high street, master kit is $28 and slave kit $18. I got them both from there when I did my box.

    DVD Burner?

Close your eyes kiddies: Here the prob, suggestions??? Have DVD's of 7GB which I want to write to 4.7GB blanks. It'd be great if I could fit the main part of the 7GB dvd's onto the 4.7's... However, most of it is porn (which is good for trading) so I only want to steal sections from different DVD's to create chapters on a new blank. As it stands my default Sonic software doesn't allow me to steal segments from one DVD although it lets me steal segments from DivX - MattA will receive some of my handiwork very soon :pimp: BTW: I'm using MDaemon aswell to create dvd images so as I can emulate 4 dvd drives from which I want to pawn pieces. Does anyone have software for doing this kind of work that I can trade so delicious material for??? BTW: Sorry for hi-jacking this thread although it kinda is still on topic

    DVD Burner?

I'm using a Gigabyte one and have also used Diamond Data (mitsi) with no probs. Can't wait for Dual layered DVD writers to go mainstream, just can't quite copy my dvds as the 4.7GB limit is so restrictive, have to rip to DivX then cut and paste back into DVD format...so time consuming!

    ABS worries

I've been practising to brake hard with non-abs without skidding. Simply a case of not slamming the brake on too hard to begin with and gaining a feel for the lock point. Doesn't matter if it's wet or dry so long as you got decent tread and not some crappy budget tyre. Another one to practise is purposely locking it up so as to ease it off to regain control. I had really short lockup down south coming into one of those numerous west coast one lane bridges last week. Pressed it too hard in the wet and it started to lock so a quick ease and she rolled up nicely behind Jamahl with feet to spare
  9. The price is $49 for 1kg f/ex with the twin metal brakets. This is the size that you MUST have to enter the motorsport Intermarque sprints and it has the twin metal brakets which you must ALSO have to enter motorsport. Fits so snuggly under the seats

Come on people, Tim is right (for once haha), different people have different tastes - did you not consider that a certain Honda owner has chromies, are you calling him gay??? Also, different car uses means different setups, you don't want your car too low if you're driving over alot of bumps and the like now do you. Unless someone show's me some evidentual information explaining what setup is best i'm going to assume that having a low centre of gravity improves handling - provided the right springs and shocks are used.I like the look of those super touring cars in europe, you know, the Audi's and Merc's with the massive flareguards and super low springs. They look awesome and appear to handle wickedly after watching them on the Nurnberg ring a few months back. If Tim put some good shocks on his car to match his springs i'd say he'd have a fairly mean setup for the track. Tim, how did you find your car at Manfeild last Sunday, you seemed to be having alot of fun
  14. Nice post, unfunny, unproductive, uninteresting; is that a persian rug??? Very nice M3AN, good to see some people on this forum actually have good taste. The Glenmorangie 10r is what I consider a quaffing whiskey - mmmm, so easy, but that 18y ancient, now that's tops :thumb: :thumb:
  15. The fog/driving lights only come on when the car is on, ie, key is in the ON position...well that's how the E30's work anyway. I can't believe you think that forward driving lights don't do much, they make up for the inneficiencies of the headlights and are bloody useful. Good for night driving when you get oncoming traffic and have to use the immediate road markers to see where the bloody road is.
  16. I had two transformers, but funnily enough they didn't the the ...ex name - they were Smokescreen and Viper man I liked Octomus Prime... Anyways, just burning some copies of me fav porno DVD that I made up for MattA and me bro...just thinking that I should stick that car model hoe in the background :pimp:

    new boy

FYI, I have now stripped off the covers as they're starting to get really dirty especially since doing the g/box change...hmmm, now if they weren't there my car seats would now permanently have oil stains on them!!! See why covers are useful, I have perfect immaculate seats all round that make my car interior look very nice, perfectly timed for my new missus to ride in style
  22. but you can see with the foglights on .. hah seriously doesn't anyone else find it pretty dark with just headlights on? :thumb: I totally agree Andrew, driving without the foggys on is fairly dark, I find they light up the immediate area extremely well and with the way i've set the left foggy up to point more sideways I can read the letterbox numbers now on a dark street

    New Ram-Air intake

Are you sure that's not one of those fuel arms used for refilling the tank from a fuel tanker while on the motorway???
  24. Hey guys, I have organised a deal for extinguishers from a business in Palmy. They supply fire extinguishers for your car to suit motorsport specification size/weight and with the dual metal brakets required for motorsport. The benefits of having a f/x in the car are: Extinguish nasty fires Insurance discount (some companies offer 5%) Smashing windows if you or someone else is trapped Makes the car look tits They're offering a deal for BS and BMWCC people whereby you can get a 1.1kg f/x with the metal twin bracket necessary for Intermarque for $49. That's a similar price to ones from supercheap I believe except supercheap quality may be dubious and these extinguishers are certified. The extinguishers are refillable and Firewise do certified fills and pressure testing. The extinguishers can mount sideways and fit perfectly under the stock seats. I have one in mine and the seat can freely slide over the top of it yet I can easily access it. Flash them the BMWCC card of just say Carl told you about it. Firewise 153 walkers road (out near rongotea road, home business) (06) 3540715 [email protected] This outfit has a contract for Manfeild auto course so they're the real deal.
